Boring as heck... MEL-WTB monthly on TL MEL-SIN-HKG quarterly on SQ J credit to VA. MEL-SYD probably every few weeks on VA - usually on points (Y or J), including enough paid sectors to maintain WP. If i'm lucky, MEL-SYD-NOU.

Same for everyone. However snacks should be loaded as well for business class (they call it the "Pantry") which has things like chocolate popcorn etc. They can always get you something from the Y menu for no extra charge. If you need special food, take it yourself.

Yeah, when I sat down the first thing that came into my head was "I could use a Chux and some S&W around this cabin". FAs usually get embarrassed when I bring this kind of stuff up, and I don't like doing that to them. No reply on twitter. so meh. Case closed.

No, I gave up giving feedback to VA years ago. Only reason we still fly with them is the ease of booking reward domestic J.

Have never seen so much cough around the air vents/lights today in my life while on a VA 737. Is this a sign of average maintenance? A filter needs changing? Looks somewhat disconcerting:

VA319 MEL-BNE breakfast. Omelette with smoked salmon pieces on top. Very nice, needs seasoning - salt and pepper gets it over the line. Alternate was bircher muesli, also a good choice.

This Dr Tim guy is one of the reasons we spend a lot of effort minimising our tax.

Re: Easy fix for VA - new 737 J class! Indeed. Just put new versions of those seats 737 fleet-wide - with IFE screens. Done, move onto next problem. Otherwise folks will again be complaining that they booked J in SYD-PER and ended up with the regular J and not the transcon J when irrops...

Don't waste any more time on it, just get your card provider to pull a charge-back. VA are just as bad as well when things go awry.

Watched it last week. Lookes like a good QF ad. Interesting that the woman who didn't fly that much (actress/muso?) got an upgrade to J. And they left F alone completely.

MEL-CBR VA289 Dinner - beef short rib, quite nice. Cheese was way off. Strawberry polenta cake in a box was blergh. 1F had mushroom soup: You could have chicken on top if desired. Tasted OK. For such a short flight the service was good, however if you plan to eat make sure you're in row 1...

That's a whole box of awesome, but with VA ditching the aircraft type we can only dream. Then again I'm still waiting for footrests in 737 J.

Re: Virgin, the modern day Robin Hood. Taking row 3 from platinums and giving it to a VA needs cash. Cold hard cash from passengers. I wonder what their next revenue-raising idea will be?

re: VA to HKG from mid 2017 [From Where?] I wonder how they will handle any IRROPS out of HKG? However this is a great step. I hope they can offer some decent catering in Y and have plenty of reward seats. Lounge access ex-MEL could be flaky, I suspect it will be T2 domestic before security...
