We plan or arriving el nido to Manila on 19th around 14.00, then depart to Sydney on 20th at 19.00. So that’s why we want somewhere nice to chill, hopefully with late checkouts

Thanks, it does look good. We plan to finish in Manila with a bit of indulgence . We are staying overnight rather than trying to rush from a flight from el nido over to T3 to get on an overnight flight full of sand, sea and sweat.

We are looking for a hotel with a nice club lounge. Plan is to arrive into Manila T4 around 2pm, go to hotel, have a drink and nibblesbefore diner then back to T2 for QF20 at 7pm. We are looking at Shangri la, Dusit, or Hilton. Any recommendations for best coughtail hour, room and pool? Thanks

The express cards are of little value in Sydney for immigration if you use the smartgates. But there was a much bigger queue for customs without the express card. LHR with the new smartgate is just as quick without using express card.

Transtasman yesterday from AKL. Priority boarding called the completely ignored. I let a young couple with baby into the queue in front of me as Qantas were not looking out for them. In the past, arriving at one airport and departing from another counted as one segment. Ie Barcelona-Miami may count as 1 sector. It was even a rule for the same city, ie Landing at Heathrow with a stopover and then departing London City. Not sure if this is still the case?
