We are looking for a hotel with a nice club lounge. Plan is to arrive into Manila T4 around 2pm, go to hotel, have a drink and nibblesbefore diner then back to T2 for QF20 at 7pm. We are looking at Shangri la, Dusit, or Hilton. Any recommendations for best coughtail hour, room and pool?
Thanks

We have always stayed at the Conrad in Manila, great location being next to MOA and a short ride from the airport. Has a nice pool and what I think is an amazing Executive lounge.
Can be fairly pricey though so may not be ideal if you are only staying a few hours

Thanks, it does look good. We plan to finish in Manila with a bit of indulgence . We are staying overnight rather than trying to rush from a flight from el nido over to T3 to get on an overnight flight full of sand, sea and sweat.

In a similar vein does anyone recommend any of the airport hotels? I'll be arriving after 9pm so lounge doesn't matter. Trying to decide if it's worth going to the hilton for $250 or chance it on the $60-80 ones about. Departing and leaving from T1.

When I just want a room close to T1 I use either of these two places.

Oyster Plaza ~A$50, cheaper on walk-in, Jeepney or Grab ride to Paranaque Mall.

Victoria Court - Cuenta

Victoria Court rooms can be had for a short stay to match flights' odd-times or overnight. Many of the hotels in this area are "discrete" hotels. The reason I'm including it as an option is that they are off the main road, have reasonably price meal delivery and are quiet. Other names for short stays are Sogo.

Another consideration for these closely hotels is to plan your journey from Airport to the hotel. Try to use the Grab app, have it downloaded and registered beforehand. MNL Airport taxis can really ruin plans.

Another common thread for these ideas is you are assuming everything goes swimmingly, just like going from Changhi to Crowne Plaza. I've had a rainy night flight arrival just after a big storm. Took an hour for the taxi to get out of the Terminal 3 lanes, let alone the local traffic.

For kiwitripper64 from 2pm - 7pm is not that long in MNL time. Assume your flight will be late, your bags will be late etc etc.

We plan or arriving el nido to Manila on 19th around 14.00, then depart to Sydney on 20th at 19.00. So that’s why we want somewhere nice to chill, hopefully with late checkouts

Three or four places from cheap to not so across the road from T3 - Resort World - used to be a pita to get to from T1 and T2 but with new skyway alot easier
