Thanks Quickstatus, I understand that it is part of the deal with one world. My question is given that US is very new to the alliance and their systems may not be up to the task yet. Has anyone actually tried this yet and does it work?

I am wondering if anyone has tried to through check on different PNRs from US to QF? I know you can, and I have done this with AA to QF. I have YUL-PHL-DFW with US on one PNR and the DFW-SYD with QF on a different PNR. Cheers.

Unfortunately with no status you will most likely not see the upgrade with points come through on this route, although it is always luck of the draw. In my own experience, being WP on a PE fare will almost certainly get the upgrade. NB on a discount Y fare would be a 5% chance if you are lucky.
