Article: Qantas’ Frustrating Application of Married Segment Logic

You're lucky then. We spent around 13 hours on the phone for no result until we put in a complaint. Which was all for naught as QF cancelled the flights anyway.

It does. They won't sign me up to A+ on the same account as the one with the IB card attached.

Roomba, Dysons, Thermomix and other household appliances

I'd say so. They're a great mini oven. Can't speak for any other model, but the Instant pot is pretty flexible in what it can manage. And it's amazing at reheating food.

    Ask The Pilot

A few years ago at MEL, QF baggage called my colleague to come collect his power tool batteries he had in his checked bag.

Roomba, Dysons, Thermomix and other household appliances

Bingo, they are a turbo convection oven with very little warm up time. There's plenty of things that are still much better deep fried. However ours gets used quite a bit. I was sure the Philips was the go at first, but the more I researched, the more this one came up as great and at a good...

In Defence of the Melbourne Dungeon

Agreed. My one time I had to settle for the QF J dungeon was spoiled by the DYKWIA retiree who was calling her entire contact list at quite the elevated volume to let them know that she was in the QF lounge and to not call her for a month as she on her way to the US for a holiday.

Also, adding departure port will help people help you, as many will just assume their own home port :)

    Cost of Flights

Airlines and airports are struggling for staff. Clearly people are paying the higher prices or they would be coming back down. When are you looking at going? I can see some flights later in the year for ~$6k or are you wedded to SQ?

    Qantas lost my bookings

Please make a complaint about this. You're incredibly lucky that you were able to re-book the same flights, but it never should have happened. This is a continual systematic failure at QF and they need to hear about it.

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

To me that looks like you were originally on 217 in F. SQ have changed 217 to an A359 which doesn't have F so they have proactively moved you to the closest flight that does, which is 207.
