Business Explorer linked to Business Accelerator

Great Scott! I'm missing out then. And nothing hurts more than that - except my wife's acid wit. I'll be on to this asap. Thank you!

Business Explorer linked to Business Accelerator

Just so I'm clear (I am a little slow on the uptake). You guys are saying you have explorer cards that usually would earn into the gateway program, that have been linked to your Platinum Edge cards in the Ascent program, and now the spend on the explorer cards earns into the Ascent account...

Business Explorer linked to Business Accelerator

I think you may find that they won't do it because of the different redemption rates offered for the two programs. Bus Explorer is connected to the Gateway program which, as an example, transfers to KF at a ration of 4MR points to 3KF points. The ascent program transfers at 1:1. I asked tonight...

    AMEX Membership Rewards website glitch

Hi all, Had a weird one this evening. Planning a trip to Europe and need to transfer all my AMEX points to KF. I have a Platinum Edge card that I get through a professional body. Enrolled in Ascent I also have a Business Explorer enrolled in Gateway Logged in, my Plat Edge was the selected...

BNE to MCO in November, avoiding LAX. Which airline?

You could look at going via Canada. I'm doing this on my way to Vegas in March, although I'm coming in from Europe(FRA). Flying SQ to FRA in J will be nice. If you have the option to fly SQ (QFF points obviously won't help here) you can fly into the east coast via FRA, then it's a quick flight...

    Suites savers now available

I'm interested in how many suites redemptions you were able to score? Is that 3, one for each of you or is bubs so small they don't occupy a seat? Regards, Peter PS. I'm wanting to snaffle 5 seats for Europe in 2019 so interested in theoretical maximum redemptions (and I know it will only get...

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

I'd be interested in the routings they took to Russia, Cove. (Yeah I know it's off topic). I'll be plugging away at the BankAust card this month, then no more for me unless I decide I'm desperate enough to use Rewardpay. Although with the AMEX Explorer card it's a little more attractive. TTFN, Pete

    A380 Viability Question

Hi Folks, I've been reading a bit about the problems with the A380, and the mooted A380Plus program Airbus is using to try to save the program. And over the past few days the retirement of the first commercially delivered A380 from SQ has been in the news. I'm interested in any industry folks...

    Suites savers now available

I'm taking SIN_SYD on SQ231 early Sat in Suites. I've done it many times and still get a kick out of it. Well done on getting the waitlist. Mine was a late booking so lucked out getting the savers. Unfortunately only the 777 on the way up there but still v. nice! [edit to correct flight details]

    2017 F1 Thread

Very envious. Malaysia has put on a few very good races over the years but I've never made it there. Tonight should be interesting if the front runners can stay off the ways. So much paint stripped off during FP and Quali.

    Why Changi Works

I read an article today in the SMH traveller section (yes I know.....). "Changi is a superb airport", says Geoffrey Thomas, the Perth-based editor-in-chief of www.airlineratings.com. "It works so beautifully. That's because it's government-owned, and the Singapore government understands the...

    SQ Tips, Trips and Tales

At least if you have to suffer J, SQ is a good place to do it. I have a similar problem with a trip to Frankfurt in March. It seems to me, based on my numerous flirtations with dates and routes on the SQ site, that availability for Suites in particular, but F in general, is getting harder to...

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Yes Bank AU is good for now. Last few months have been consistently paying, but suggest caution because the Ts and Cs state no business purchases. Largest one processed by me is about $25K. Rgds

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

Yes I know - It was a little in-joke here at my company - one of my techs, who I think believes in fairies and magic dust, insists on doing it. He was in my office while I was posting it so I did it to have a little dig at him. Car in question, for Nizar, is the QF Visa card.

ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

I have a snippet that might be of interest. Did a payment through my Visa with bank (extra text to confuse search engines) Aust last month. QF points just credited today at 1:1. This wasn't a tester - I wanted to find out about bigger payments - $26K in one hit. BTW - The application process is...
