VA A330's almost completely gone from PER-BNE/SYD/MEL during June '17?

Once MEL-HKG starts, VA will pull the A330's from BNE-PER unfortunately, not sure if there are still some BNE-SYD runs on them though.

[Wrong] Sydney to Hong Kong VA80 & VA82

re: [Wrong] Sydney to Hong Kong VA80 & VA82 Isn't the ACCC going to give a decision regarding the HKG flights tomorrow? If yes, then should we hear something from VA regarding ticket sales? They will need to sell the tickets asap if they want that 3 month lead in time for a July launch.

VA A330's almost completely gone from PER-BNE/SYD/MEL during June '17?

Well if VA launches both MEL-HKG and SYD-HKG daily, that will take atleast 2 frames. Leaving only 4 for transcon. My guess is that BNE-PER will say goodbye to the A330, whilst SYD/MEL-PER will have a reduced schedule. Haven't even touched on future China flying, that would probably take away 1...

Hilton SW (MEL) will be rebranded to Pan Pacific from May 31 [now July 27]

Re: Hiton South Wharf To be Sold It's quite shocking to see the Hilton main brand not having any hotels left in Melbourne. Competition for new hotels is getting more competitive and it will definitely be harder for Hilton to secure any prime locations. The second time that Hilton has lost...

Qantas Boeing 787-9 premium economy seat

It would have been better to get atleast 40", but I still feel like this product will suit the market well, it won't cannibalise J and will definitely attract attention from those in the back, peeking their interest. Well TK's market leading 47" pitch was the problem, the airline was too...

VA to HKG from Jul 5 2017, ex MEL

Re: VA to HKG from mid 2017 [From Where?] Its looking like a July launch, subject to change of course. MEL-HKG definitely being talked about, however possibly SYD too as HNA wants both cities connected to HKG.

Sydney Airport wants movement cap changes and possibly curfew abolition

This is what I don't get, why trouble yourself and live right under the flight path, obviously with planes flying right over you would think they would know better. It's like they expected the airport to not expand it's operations and not grow. Obviously with a growing population and greater...

VA to HKG from Jul 5 2017, ex MEL

re: VA to HKG from mid 2017 [From Where?] Definitely, MEL-HKG only needs 1 A330 to operate a daily schedule. This question now is: 1. What times will these flights take off exMEL: Morning, Mid-Morning, Afternoon? 2. Lounge options for FF's and J pax 3. Flight frequency Once the revamped NZ...

    LATAM to fly MEL-SCL

Tuesday, Friday and Sundays exMEL Monday, Thursday, Saturdays exSCL Yes, it is definitely 'on'! The flights are bookable as of today! Well I think it's time for MEL to be less reliant on AKL and SYD when it comes to Sth America, if this route proves successful, it will open alot of doors for...

    Samsonite Questions Thread

Hi all, I have been looking at a few Samsonite luggage, particularly the Cosmolite and Firelite carry-on's. It seems that retailers rarely charge the full price, for example, walk into any Victoria Station, Strandbags and even David Jones, these luggage pieces are heavily discounted at 40% off...

    QF cancels QF95/96 and makes MEL-HKG a daily B747

Has QF ever operated MEL-BKK-LHR/Europe? I remember in the early 2000's a few of my BKK-MEL flights was operated with a 747, not sure on the variant but it definitely was the queen.

    QF cancels QF95/96 and makes MEL-HKG a daily B747

Yea, doesn't make sense either. Though one of the main drivers at the time was UA's decision to make MEL-LAX non-stop. MEL-LAX is too big to avoid and not serve non-stop, DL was thinking about launching the services themselves but I think hesitated, ultimately it was to serve the market or not...

    Capital Airlines Delays/ Cancellations

We're your flights full? For that price, I'd certainly be happy, even cheaper than the LCC's! HU has similar fares floating around for their XIY and CSX flights starting next month. Only in Y! J fares are around the 2.2k mark return, so it looks like there's demand for those.
