This has been my trick. Then eye the person in 5A with the shadow jealously. If you go for D it is on the opposite side of the toilet so even if you do wind up with someone in FG who are not a couple they tend to clamber over the other person anyway.

I keep hearing this. I am pretty tall with very long legs and love this seat! Although i guess due to often over hanging beds in hotels i have gotten used to sleeping curled up which might help?

Not really convinced of this. The A380 leaves me feeling much better when i land even in PE (if i snag an exit row i can sleep). Could be in my head or could be the lower air pressure.

Also some times a little awkward. Flying in such closed and private quarters with someone you don't know.

Not sure on flights not sure i want to total it to be honest! This year was a record year, in terms of status i earned platinum on virgin twice over and almost hit platinum on qantas. Hotels were 106 days with IC, around another 30 with various other hotel chains. This year hoping to half that...
