Going to Aspen with AAward booking

You can always get an award booking just to Denver, then hire a car and drive. Although the drive can be pretty hairy in Winter depending on the weather, but the same can be said with flying. You're going to need a car in Aspen anyway, and the drive to Aspen is quite spectacular...

    Frankfurt Airport Transfer Times

So I'm pretty sure a number of you have transited to and from Europe out of Frankfurt, something I have never done before. My flight leaving Frankfurt on Lufthansa back to Sydney leaves at 19:35, my Vueling flight from Barcelona arrives at 17:15. Is 2 and a bit hours enough time at Frankfurt...

    Great value for Velocity Points!

In my experience in trying to use my velocity points for flights, the only "deals" I've ever been able to find are on domestic flights. I've never been able to find any reasonable international flights using points, or at lest ones that would be good value for my points. I've made the...

    Best Round the World Deals

Thanks for the replies guys, great stuff. I was also thinking of doing SYD to LHR return and doing Europe to DEN in a separate trip which might allow leaving and returning to different destinations, and also would leave leeway if any premium economy/business deals popped up. I only need to be...

    Best Round the World Deals

Hey All, So I'm going to "need" to purchase a round the world ticket for travel at the end of July 13 and August 13. I basically need to go SYD-DEN-LHR-SYD, or another departure airport from Europe. I've been researching myself with the various airlines, but I'm trying to devise the best way...

    Frontier

Frontier is a great airline. Being originally from Colorado which is where Frontier is based I swear by them when I have to do US domestic flights. Only thing to remember is that all of the flights go through Denver. Which, if unplanned can be a good stopover for a couple of days if needed.

Qantas showing award flights that aren't really there?

That's true they are obligated to get me there, but would be a bit worried about how they would go about doing it. Do they have to notify you? I'm afraid we would rock up the airport to a flight that doesn't exist on a partner airline.

Qantas showing award flights that aren't really there?

LOL, sorry forgot the major details, was concentrating too much on how to type the question so it made sense! We need LAX to ANC 9/12/11. Have not been able to find a nonstop flight anywhere except for Qantas. It seems to good to be true. We've already bought our flights from SYD to LAX, just...

Qantas showing award flights that aren't really there?

Hey all, I was looking into using my points to book some domestic flights within the US this December. We're planning on going to Alaska on 9/12/2011. The Qantas website is showing a nonstop flight that day, AS157 with Alaskan Airlines, but I was under the impression that the nonstop flights...

    Claiming JAL flights

I was trying to claim some JAL flights online and it asks for the Check In Sequence number. I've scoured my boarding pass and I don't know where it is. There's heaps of numbers but nothing that specifically says "check in sequence." Any idea on where or what this is?

not earning my AA flyer points?

dang, probably something i should've looked into before I chose my flights. although AA were the cheapest option anyways.

not earning my AA flyer points?

I'm a member of QF and right now I'm doing a fair bit of travelling in the US with American Airlines, while I am earning half points on the International legs, I'm not earning any points with domestic flights. Is this normal? I'm also so close in status points to reaching the next level I want...

    US Airways, United or Continental

It's not a very long flight, so in actuality it does not matter which carrier you choose. You'll be up in the air and back down about the time it will take to get a beverage. Just go with the cheapest and best fit to your current flight schedule. After living for 26 years in the US and flying...

What's your least favourite city in the world?

Worst city for me would have to be Auckland. Completely overrated, sprawled, and way too expensive for what you get in return.

JetStar is trying to ruin my holiday! Is there anything I can do?

Well, I think i'm just going to try and live with it, and not change anything. In my experience airlines (full service) have been somewhat accommodating as far as missing flights though. Jetstar might not be very sympathetic, but if worst comes to worst JAL (which is a full service airline)...

JetStar is trying to ruin my holiday! Is there anything I can do?

Maybe I'm old fashioned, or it's been a while since I've been to OOL, but when you check in, your bags get checked all the way through, do they not? And OOL isn't some giant multinational airport, it's a shack with a vending machine! Aside from International flights to NZ, I wouldn't imagine...

JetStar is trying to ruin my holiday! Is there anything I can do?

I'm contacting Qantas to ask about the flight they have listed and see if they claim that there is or isn't enough time. If I could leave the night before I would, but I simply cannot. My graduation ceremony for my MBA is the day before along with a party and family members from overseas who...

JetStar is trying to ruin my holiday! Is there anything I can do?

Sorry, I should've been more clear earlier... These are our original flights: SYD-OOL 6:05am JQ400 OOL-KIX 10:05am JQ19 And yes there is only one flight a day to Osaka from Gold Coast Originally our flights were SYD-OOL at 6:05am, but it appears that they have fully cancelled this service as...

JetStar is trying to ruin my holiday! Is there anything I can do?

So originally I had booked a JetStar flight from Sydney to Osaka at a steal of a price. The flight was going via the Gold Coast. I have booked onwards flight from Osaka with JAL roughly more then 2 hours after we arrived ideally giving us ample time to clear custom and figure out a new a...

Is joining Qantas Club worth this trip?

Thanks for the advice everyone. Don't think I'll jump on board for this then, especially because I just realised that flying to Japan we have to go from Sydney through the Gold Coast not really warranting an abundance of waiting time in Sydney, and the Gold Coast airport is about as big as a...
