Bag fee when WP/SG travelling with partner airlines in NAmerica

Baggage fee waivers are up to the partner airlines - no oneworld rules apply, as WestJet and Alaska aren't members. On both airlines you'll have to pay for bags when booking the cheapest fare directly with them. Alaska list their fees, and scenarios where they don't apply, at Exceptions and...

Benefits for Qantas Frequent Flyers on Westjet?

In my experience you get nothing. I've travelled on WestJet booked as both WS and QF numbers and it made no difference. I have not redeemed QF points on WS, however. I'm hoping that, with their transition to a mainline airline, we may see a stronger partnership involving their new Business and...

Struggling to get Points from Finnair Code Share

RESOLUTION: Qantas responded with: This was, once again, infuriatingly incorrect as the flight was operated by AA and was therefore eligible for earning. Instead of responding by email again I hopped on the phone and, after identifying myself, was put on hold for about 10 minutes before simply...

Struggling to get Points from Finnair Code Share

UPDATE: After filling in a contact form on the Finnair website, they responded within a few days with a simple email: This has now been forwarded to Qantas, so hopefully this resolve the issue...

It was an I class fare, but since this flight is operated by all-Economy aircraft this leg was in Y.

Struggling to get Points from Finnair Code Share

Hi all, I'm having a hard time getting Qantas to credit my account for a Finnair code share flight and I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences where Qantas virtually refuse to credit? The flight in question is AY4063 (YUL-JFK), which is a code share of AA3952. After I took...

    Points Upgrades on QF Codeshares

From the Qantas email today about Perth-Singapore and a few other things: Hopefully this is a sign of things to come! From memory QF and LA operate their codeshares in an odd way in that they divide up the aircraft, resulting in odd seat maps, and sell their own allocations of seats etc., only...

    Points Upgrades on QF Codeshares

I was having a read of the upgrade T&Cs the other day and noticed: Have the sub-clauses about sometimes being available on codeshare flights always been there? Has anyone upgraded on a codeshare before, and if so, which airline and route?

    Wouldn't it be Good

I'll note that SmartRider can also be used for regional town bus services in the major towns of WA. NFC and contactless credit/debit transactions may well happen in the future, although transaction time is an issue at the moment. That said nothing would be as slow as the current Myki transaction...

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

Good to see she's finally underway, meeting the "late 2014" deadline nonetheless! I'm not onboard, but AusBT is and they have tweeted some pre-departure photos.

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

VH-EBV's finally in Sydney and QF571 is now delayed 20 minutes for a 17:50 departure, with what looks to be a very full new Business cabin.

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

Still no sign of departure from BNE. Interestingly the BNE website is showing QF6111 that was scheduled at 18:00 yesterday as "Delayed" until 13:00 today, as well as showing a QF6114 flight to SYD scheduled for 13:00 today as "Cancelled". Expert Flyer is still showing QF571 as the new config...

ALL QF's 330's to get lay flat Business seating - Including Domestic

Well it's past 19:00 in Brisbane and still no sign of VH-EBV emerging. I note that QF575 tomorrow is now scheduled to be operated by a regular config aircraft, although QF583 is still showing as the new config. I'm assuming the plan is to fly her down to Sydney tomorrow midday/early afternoon...

    Final flights for the B767

The 5 retirements that occurred today are listed in order at The Qantas Source. I have no idea about their retirement locations and flights. OGL should've been the last one in the air. QF767 does not regularly run on Saturdays anyway, so the number was free for this flight.
