QF enforcing 3 hour checkin time limit at MEL?

Did the CSA specifically tell you they saw your onwards flight to SIN or are just assuming that? If they could see the MEL/SIN flight the next day they would have to have short tagged your bag CBR/MEL instead as MEL doesn't store bags overnight. I wouldn't expect the CSA to see the oncarriage...

    QF missing points.....a newbie mistake.

If the pax has flown and has no more live segments in the pnr then they won't be able to look up the pnr or eticket nbr.

Laptop stolen [after being left behind] at BNE Int [security screening].

Just had a look in my (ANZ) banking app and it does not display the full credit card number or expiry date. If someone stole my phone they would need to a) know my security pin on my phone and b) my banking pin to get into my account. I don't know the level of security the OP's friend had on...

Laptop stolen [after being left behind] at BNE Int [security screening].

Sure it wouldn't be too hard for AFP to view the person who stole it from the camera footage above the conveyor belts at the screening point and match their photo with the footage when a pax goes through the smartgates?

Incorrect status on QF boarding pass

Did she think WP was below Gold or something? Is she still his EA?

QF enforcing 3 hour checkin time limit at MEL?

Not sure how big MEL's baggage makeup area is compared to other airports like SIN but it sounds as though there's not enough space for the containers or barrows to load bags onto once they arrive in the baggage makeup area from checkin.

USA Itinerary for Family of 5, Thoughts?

Nothing wrong don't panic. :p All good if you're flying back CX as the co-payment in addition to the QF points on one way tickets ex the USA aren't that bad. Have only priced CX JFK/HKG though not JFK/xHKG/PER. What you want to avoid is one way award tickets using QF points ex the USA as the...

USA Itinerary for Family of 5, Thoughts?

Did you book the JFK/xHKG/PER flights at the same time as the PER/xSYD/HNL flights ie are they on the same ticket?

QF enforcing 3 hour checkin time limit at MEL?

The IATA definition of a transit being < 24 hours has nothing to do with whether or not a bag will be checked through as it depends on the nuances of the connecting airport eg BNE QF SYD Tuesday night connecting SYD YY xx_ Wednesday morning won't cut it. The CSA won't even be able to see your...

QF55 Australian domestic tag flight B744 opportunity

I though domestic kiosks would inhibit checkin for international tag flights - well you'd think at least the auto bag drops wouldn't be programmed for QF55? Or was it a CSA who didn't realise that the flight was international I wonder? You'd think they'd just transfer the pax to a dom flight...

QF55 Australian domestic tag flight B744 opportunity

I get that some pax may go to the domestic terminal by mistake to checkin for a intl SYD/BNE, flight but being in the correct place to begin with at T1 then going around to T3 after that.....words fail me.  o_O

    Qantas Award Charges Outrageous

You can always hang on to the Amex card and churn the others. Sure it's reasonable pricey however you do get value out of it if you do a bit of travel. I'm sure there's people out there who would pay more (than the annual fee) individually for incidentals that are included in the card such as...

    Qantas Award Charges Outrageous

The topic of airline imposed carrier fees in addition for legitimate taxes highlights the importance of not having all your eggs in one basket when it comes to frequent flyer programs. Having your points in a single ff program has the potential to end in tears the minute there's an...

Any chance of making 11am depart flight ADL on an 11am arriving?

My first reactions was "nooooooooooooooo" - never call reservations as they could've repriced the airfare to the higher ex SYD fare level (or at least half of it) which is the whole purpose of booking it ex ADL in the first place. Generally airport staff aren't concerned with pax saying they...

Transferring in BKK and rechecking luggage

Each airline will still have their own pnr whether or not flights are on the same ticket or separate tickets. Don't highlight the fact you've got separate tickets at checkin, it may be better to say to the CSA "will my bags be tagged all the way to Hanoi"? Even though it's the same TA GDS...

Should I be upset or am I being unreasonable?

I realise the day of travel has been and gone but just had a thought which may come in handy for others in the same situation. Who not go to the J Lounge first where you have legitimate access then run the scenario by by them and see if they can call the F Lounge for you to ask. That way you...
