Didn't realise the financial situation was so bad. Hope MH can recover, I personally would have no hesitations flying with them. Though I know plenty of people who would be hesitant, mostly occasional flyers of the non-AFF folk.

When you tried multi-city, did you search as 3 segments: SYD-DXB DXB-LHR LHR-FCO Or 2 segments SYD-LHR LHR-FCO?

Another way Qantas is showing, how they are the spirit of Australia, by milking as much hope they can get out of everyday Australians to save up for a free flight, then reward them with taxes and surcharges that resemble a full fare itself. Have no issues with the price increases, simple case...

On the positive, those departing on Int flights with access to QF F lounge might be having some more champagne than expected.

I was thinking more a dedicated 'small section' within the same lounge set aside for F (and possibly WP). Similar concept to TG lounge in HKG.

Based on reports I've read, the new HKG lounge overall appears to be superior to the old F lounge. However, how hard is it for Qantas to provide a small dedicated space for F passengers and/or champagne. Imagine an offer of 'as an F passenger can I offer a glass of Vueve as. welcome drink!

This efficient use of aircraft schedule seems logical. This May free up 0.5 of a 747 bird, maybe increase SCL services?? Perhaps the Japanese business market want overnight flights so they can arrive into Sydney at peak hour scrum and head to work.

Agree, let's hope QF extend the same love to their own customers, giving us a genuine enhancement. Particularly as QF are apparently trying to funnel more customers through SIN then onto 3K connections to Asian destinations.

I like the sound of this as well, but what would QF do with the A380 birds once it arrives in SYD/MEL in the evening. Would it not sit for 12+ hrs overnight?
