I've had the card for a few years now. From the point of rewards the card's good - points transfer 1:1 to Qantas in blocks of 10,000, else 1.5:1 to Velocity or Krisflyer (so not as great for them). You certainly can't find a better Visa card for Qantas points earning anyway. On the downside...

Keep in mind that the earn rate is 2 points per dollar for the Platinum, or 1.5 points per dollar for the Gold or Classic. With 30,000 points sign-up bonus for the Platinum as well at the moment it's not too shabby for those that have no interest in a Frequent Flyer program anyway.

From personal experience if you give them a call to cancel the card you should be able to do even better than half off the annual fee. ;)
