Wealth package now includes platinum according to phone rep but not the website

I'll add my voice to those that have done the upgrade - as mentioned above it only took a few minutes to call and I received the cards within a few working days. Now it's a card actually putting some spend through (well the AMEX part of it anyway :) ).

The new Flybuys launches Monday (April 23rd)

It was certainly interesting when going through the selection for the my5 choices the suggestions that they had based on your past spending. Not that I didn't know it was going on in the background already but seeing it flashed up how they know your top buys by quantity and value is quite an eye...

    IHG Ambassador Program

I've had two packs not show up over the years, requiring a follow up with the Ambassador desk to get another sent out (the first they'll send normal mail, the second they'll courier to you).

    Amb/RA expiry date

If you go to https://secure.priorityclub.com/rewards/us/en/account/home you'll be able to see it under the heading of "Ambassador Expiry".

Discover America: Daily Getaways 2012 (Amex)

The only thing to keep in mind is that if it works the same as last year then the points purchased in this promo count towards status (unlike the C&P's). For most people I don't think they'll struggle too much to reach Platinum anyway, but for those that need a top up then it's a cheap way to do it.

New QF INT bag policy effective for tickets issued from 02 May

Re: New Qantas International baggage limits Agreed, this will be a *big* improvement for the trips my wife takes back home - and I can assure you she can easily fill 3x32kg bags with no worries at all (and no doubt 2 of my 3x32kg allowances too I'm sure :D ).

    thanxs amex patinum edge

Just keep in mind with the flights to NZ that you can only redeem on Virgin metal, so since the Trans-Tasman tie-up with AirNZ the options have reduced quite a bit unfortunately. It's still better than nothing, but SYD-WLG is gone now and SYD-AKL is reduced to 6 flights a week at pretty ordinary...

Discover America: Daily Getaways 2012 (Amex)

I can confirm I was successfully able to purchase Priority Club points last time (and the points counted towards status as well).

More International destinations with One-Way fares?

I just noticed with the current Grand Prix sale fares that fares to Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo are now available for purchase one-way rather than just as return fares. Not sure if this was the case before but it's the first time I've seen it for these destinations. Is this...

Problem - How to "sight" a credit card in Bangkok QF office?

It certainly used to be the case for flights out of CGK that all fares could be booked using Expedia.com.au with no problems at all. Then a couple of years ago they stopped publishing anything below K class fares for sale outside of Indonesia, so all the cheap fares have to be booked either...

Everyday Rewards Card - 20,000 bonus points - $89 fee

Everyday Rewards Credit Card - 20,000 bonus points - $89 fee Just received the following link with my Everyday Rewards Card quarterly statement - Woolworths Everyday Rewards credit card Apply Now - 20,000 bonus points on first spend. $89 Annual fee is charged though, but still pretty good value...

    EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

After a long period with nothing I received an offer of Double Points for spend over $30 at Woolworths (which will go nicely with the Double Points still in effect on the Everyday Rewards Credit Card).

Problem - How to "sight" a credit card in Bangkok QF office?

I've experienced this issue several times in relation to flying from Jakarta on both paid and classic award redemptions (though strangely when I booked a JASA the payment was processed without me needing to go to the office). Given the issues the International division of Qantas seems to have...

Change in Platinum Card Travel Insurance?

Has anyone else noticed an increased promotion by AMEX of their paid Travel Insurance? I've seen it on the website and now I've received an email in relation to it as well. Certainly not a good look given the current changes anyway.

Up to 30000 bonus points with JQ Mastercard

At this point I'll just be happy with a response one way or another - I haven't heard anything since I received an SMS on the 22nd of Feb to supply pay slip details (which were duly sent through).

Up to 30000 bonus points with JQ Mastercard

I notice there's different tracking numbers in the URL depending which link you click to apply - from the email mine has "offer=A324632" whereas from the Jetstar website it has "offer=A324660". Fortunately having the email from them should make it easier to raise issues in the event that the...

    QF to cut jobs/routes

I'm just glad the SYD-CGK route has managed to be retained for the time being. Given that Garuda has gone to daily flights and has been significantly undercutting QF's fares in both Y and especially J I'd imagine it's not the most profitable of routes for QF at the moment.

    EDR Targeted Bonus Point Promotions

I received two offers this week, one for double points at Big W and the other for Multi-pack ice creams at Woolworths - 50 points for 1 multi-pack and 150 points for 2 or more multi-packs ( that one should be an easy bonus to achieve  ).

How tight are AMEX on the annual income limits for Plat Charge Card?

My salary was somewhat under the $100,000 mark when AMEX sent me an inviate for a Plat Charge Card a few years ago. I'd been a member since 2006 as well and I guess they were happy with how much I was putting through the card even with the salary short of the mark. So really does seem to be on a...

Charged EUR 37 for 1kg over at check-in (total 24kg)

My recollection of the introduction of the tighter application of the weight limit on Qantas in Y was accompanied by an increase from 20KG limit to 23KG limit a couple of years ago - the timing of the two were certainly in the same general timeframe.
