If your friends have flexibility and wouldn't mind a 24 hour stopover courtesy of QR in the unlikely event they missed their connection, then all is good. Personally, I'd go for the 55 minute connection and accept the consequences. I think 55 minutes is more then enough for them to make the...
Re: Guesting into Dubai F lounge for QFF Plat: guest on same flight but different tic
I'm sure you'll be able to do that, its not abnormal to have different tickets travelling together.
I did once try to guest someone in where we'd come off the same flight (CPH-DXB) but were going onwards to...
So its our anniversary coming up and although we've lived in the outer suburbs of Sydney for 18 months we haven't actually had a night out in the city. I'm 30 and my wife is 38 so we aren't really going for a heavy night, but some entertainment would be good. We have the MIL looking after the...
In the UK many commute on the train with journeys 2-3 hours from the Midlands/North or the South Coast etc and flying from Leeds, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle isn't unheard of. Although I suspect many only spend 2 or 3 days per week in the London Office and work from home the rest of the time...
Thanks, heading up in to the markets sounds good. I will have a backpack though, will have to decide whether to take it or leave at a left baggage place in the terminal.
Will just have to endure the lounges in Hanoi
Yes this has turned into a bit of an issue, I have a UK passport so in theory don't need a visa, however they have a stipulation that you cannot return within 30 days so will need to get a visa on arrival for the return leg.
I have some longish stopovers on an upcoming trip and would appreciate any advice on someone near to the airport to eat in Hanoi (walking distance or 20-30 mins away) and then for a 9 hour stopover in Ho Chi Minh would be great to know where I could go with my 5 year old son to have a wander...
So I've booked SYD-SGN-HAN-LHR return with Vietnam airlines in economy (pending an optiontown Y+ upgrade on the HAN-LHR-HAN legs), would be interested to know any experiences of Vietnam airlines. Flights on A330, 777 and 787.
I've done a status match to Alitalia so should have lounge access...
So I put $3000 through on flights the day I got the card, any idea how long it takes for them to credit the 50,000 points? They credited the normal spend points on the same day as the statement. The $3000 was an international transaction does this has any bearing on qualifying it for the 50,000...
I've got a Vietnam Airways flight coming up from Sydney to Heathrow and although I've managed a sky team status match (Alitalia) I wouldn't mind doing some lounge hopping to pass the time.
First question, I'll have my 4 year old son with me, do you reckon they'll let us both in?
I...
Marhaba lounge has food, seats, but isn't a really comfortable/relaxing lounge, although better then the main lounges. You may be able to get access through your credit card, as thats how I entered. Perhaps ANZ Black or something similar.
Many of the hotels with electronic key card have the deadlock built in. By turning this handle to the locked position hotel staff cannot enter using the key card (soft key) including a Master soft key. However, in exceptional circumstances they can use the Master hard key which overrides it...
Oh, and just to finish off. Wife and I are both happy to never return to the Middle East and I so far as is reasonable avoid flying through Abu Dhabi/Dubai/Qatar/Kuwait etc when flying to Europe.
I worked and lived in the Middle East with my family for several years, we he an amazing time, but certainly when it comes to the laws and behaviour you need to be cautious. We met several expats who came out and just couldn't except the change and wouldn't listen, so would quickly end up in...
