    QANTAS Cyber Incident

I still haven’t got the 3rd email yet. I’m thinking I could get ahead of the game selling all those details of mine on the black market first 🤣

    Accor Plus Membership Discussion

I’m surprised you’re happy letting your points balance get so high. Whilst I think Accor is a relatively hackable program I always fear that overnight they’ll change the value hence I prefer to earn then redeem ASAP.

Article: Live Music in the Qantas Club

Was mostly a joke however last Friday went to the pub after work around 5pm (in the Brisbane CBD) and no security guard as they usually start after 8pm. Ended up leaving around 7pm to go get dinner down the road and walked past a frozen yogurt shop which go figure had a security guard (this was...

Article: Live Music in the Qantas Club

I think my local pub has live music on a Friday night as well. I think this is about right:

    QANTAS Cyber Incident

It had been going around at orgs using salesforce. So I doubt Qantas specially was on high alert. https://www.cyberdaily.au/security/12206-google-warns-of-voice-phishing-campaign-targeting-salesforce-instances Regarding their salesforce platforms they are never sharing specific setup details...

    QANTAS Cyber Incident

For this very reason it's occurred in the first place. This has been reported (by AFF and others) as not someone "hacking" into the database but rather a leak through someone using valid credentials to access it. QF uses these 3rd party call centres (again contracted to but not part of QF group)...

    QANTAS Cyber Incident

For managing and logging enquiries they used a database from 3rd party provider called salesforce. It's unclear (and we'll probably never know for sure) which call centres use what however what we do know is that the Manila one uses salesforce (to log/manage tickets). For those emailing, using...

Qatar Airways Lounge in Singapore T1

On some QR/AY lite fares or upgrades you don't get access but this doesn't apply to other OW carriers.

I agree I’d rather the 3% fee dropped for a bit instead!

    QANTAS Cyber Incident

Still no email from Qantas. I wonder if they are saving the worst till last? I did however get a very legit looking email from my bank asking me to email them my password ASAP otherwise they’d close my account. Don’t stress everyone I responded promptly.

    QANTAS Cyber Incident

If my tier (Platinum) and/or choice of meal/drink (red wine, G&T or whiskey) gets leaked (or published on the internet) I’m going to be annoyed.

    Jetstar launches Newcastle to Bali

I think when VA briefly operated NTL to AKL they drove staff from Sydney. I wonder if they’ll end up having to do the same thing unless they can get staff in 4 month hired and ready to operate casual shifts for these flights.

    Qantas starts international wifi

I wonder if this is all 737s or just some that have been refitted (if thats what it even needed)?

    QANTAS Cyber Incident

I mean I'd love a Qantas website that did every thing a QF call center could do... That being said I love your external verification. I have access to our azure (with 20k+ ppl) and whilst strict better safe than sorry! QF has learnt the hard way permissions should be reduced!

    QANTAS Cyber Incident

The chaps are funny but I've now had my "personal data" "breached" a few times thanks to Qantas, Optus and a few others but still haven't seen an uptick in spam/scam texts/emails however I know many non AFF community family/friends who've sent screen shots of scams to me to me to verify...

Does Qantas still provide customer service via social media?

I've had this a bit lately where they've recommended I call, other times they've answered the question (plus some) within minutes. Still overall the Auckland based crew is great!

    Virgin Australia Staff Travel

I’m curious how you knew this. On most airlines I’ve never been able to spot staff travelers except Qantas where one flight in J when taking orders and writing them down on a piece of paper and half the seat numbers (no names) has staff next to it whilst mine had plat. Edit, silly me should...
