    Red-eye PER-MEL - worth the upgrade?

All the economy flights are in 'O' class, and a quick check of the fare conditions shows it's not upgradable. Sale/Saver/Flexible Here are the options available to me.

    Red-eye PER-MEL - worth the upgrade?

It's my understanding that sale fares can't be upgraded on international legs? I do have the capacity to apply for an upgrade to Y+ or J on QF93 (if I pool my account with the family account), but the issue is availability - as you correctly infer, I have no status, and I think I have a greater...

    Red-eye PER-MEL - worth the upgrade?

Yes, it's discount economy. Also in economy.. Y+ would be a dream comparatively, but out of the realms of the family budget when it's three people going to the US and back. We got our sales fares for about $1100 each ;)

Changing Award Flight + Checking in luggage early - VA Domestic Business

Thanks everyone! Yes, they ended up charging us the fee, cancelling and re-booking. Almost forgot to, but I got a second call a few minutes later apologetically asking me that they needed to charge the cancel fee!

    Red-eye PER-MEL - worth the upgrade?

Thank you all for your help! While it would be nice, I agree that it's probably best to just suck it up for the flight :)

    Red-eye PER-MEL - worth the upgrade?

Hey everyone, In January, three of us are traveling PER-LAX via MEL and return via BNE. Our domestic PER-MEL is the overnight flight and goes for about 3:30 hrs (QF648). I have the opportunity to upgrade all of us for 60,000 points to J (business suite), and while it would be nice to lie down...

Changing Award Flight + Checking in luggage early - VA Domestic Business

Hey there, I have two questions for you all: Next month, two friends and I will be visiting Melbourne (PER-MEL in Y), and flying back to Perth in J on VA. Both flights are booked on the same award ticket. On the final day, instead of staying in Melbourne, we're now considering going on a day...

I'm in the VA Lounge thread

If anyone will be in the new VA Perth lounge on December 3 around 7-8pm and can guest up to 3, please let me know! In exchange, paying it forward, I can guest 3 to the QF Business lounge in BNE Jan 29 (but I will post that in the appropriate forum ;) )

TBIT 'Qantas' Business Lounge - extremely confused, as are staff

I would like to think so, but I've read conflicting information. Anyone successfully done it? As thread title suggests, 'extremely confused' haha. Also this old thread says QC passes were valid, at least 5 years ago...

TBIT 'Qantas' Business Lounge - extremely confused, as are staff

It's a standard QC invite :) Oh well. I will also have an AA 30 day membership, but I suppose that won't get me anywhere in TBIT. Probably not worth going to the Admiral's Club in T4?

TBIT 'Qantas' Business Lounge - extremely confused, as are staff

Just confirming even though I am flying QF16 LAX-BNE in Y with no status of note, if I have a Qantas Club invitation I will be able to access the TBIT Oneworld Lounge?

Fantastic Alaska Airline miles deal on again

I'm planning PER-NYC on CX soon, but my travel dates are a bit far out still. Just out of curiosity, how have people's experiences with phoning AS (toll free via Skype) and booking J seats on CX been? Are they relatively common for 2 people (anything must be better than QF)? How about general...

Qatar airways to join Oneworld on 30th October 2013

Re: Qatar joining Oneworld date? Does anyone have any information yet about earning FF miles and SC through Qatar, but on an EK/QF trip from PER-DXB-LHR-MEL-PER? Starts Nov 25.

Qatar Privelege Club Q-points (status) and Oneworld Qantas/Emirates

Can anyone please provide some examples of existing status-earning-across-OW-airlines relationships and how they work, just out of interest?

Qatar Privelege Club Q-points (status) and Oneworld Qantas/Emirates

Based on other airlines in OW, would the status credit ratio be 1:1, or dependent on the individual programs? In QR discount economy, 20 Q-Points is PER-DOH whereas on QF, 20 status credits would be PER-MEL. Anyway, excluding my PER-DXB leg on Emirates, I believe the DXB-LHR and LHR-DXB-MEL...

Qatar Privelege Club Q-points (status) and Oneworld Qantas/Emirates

Thanks. Only my first PER-DXB flight is operated by Emirates (with the return I'm stopping in Melbourne a few days LHR-DXB-MEL-PER) so they're all on Qantas. Hope things work out :) I believe all tickets on Qatar are eligible for status points. The points values I have quoted (80, 70) are...

Qatar Privelege Club Q-points (status) and Oneworld Qantas/Emirates

Hi, here's my situation. I've read that Qatar's firm date for joining oneworld is October? I currently have 80 Q-points in my Qatar account (Burgundy). Anyway, in November, I'm taking a trip from PER-LHR return via DBX on Emirates/Qantas. The equivalent trip on Qatar would net me 70 Q-points...

    QC Complimentary Invitation in Dubai

Hi, I'm a 19 yr old student going on my first solo trip flying PER-DXB-LHR (Nov 25) and returning LHR-DXB-MEL before flying back to Perth. I might be given a Qantas Club Complimentary Invitation (valid QC and international Business lounges but not domestic or oneworld/partner lounges). Since...

Qantas SYD&MEL to SIN $510 ret ($410 through .br site)

Does anybody know what FF/SC points I'll earn on a PER-DXB (Emirates codeshare with QF flight code), DXB-LHR and LHR-MEL trip in O, with a MEL-PER final leg in U? Unfortunately the calculator doesn't accept PER-DXB or PER-LHR as an acceptable booking yet. New to the program but hoping to get...
