For any Hyatt Globalists in Australia - sad to say Hyatt Canberra has decided to close its Ambassador (Club) Lounge permanently. They are currently offering a 10% discount on F&B instead.

Complimentary Alcohol for 7pm Departing Flight

With wine might as well come out of a box too... actually would probably be better than what they serve now anyway. Handed the half full cheap plastic cup back to them last time ..

How long until you get to LTP? (Or are you already there ^_~)

Got 40K SC in 12 years, but now just a regular WP so probably another 20 years at that rate.. hmm if it was 50K or maybe even 55K probably worth aiming for but not 75K.

SQ Premium Economy Food & Service

Just returned from a SQ PE experience - overall - great on the A380 day time flight from SYD - excellent service with senior cabin crew who seem to only look after PE. Food was surprisingly good. Even had a convenient toilet. Nicolas Feuillatte generously served and even addressed by name...

From Zero to QF Platinum Flying Economy

I managed 4 years of P1 of mainly Domestic and TT economy - (along with collateral VA Plat) - 160-200 flights a year, 250+ nights in hotels ... but many of these were flexible Y and some creative flight paths at times to maintain. Decided to just go back to vanilla WP before it would have long...

Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

Hopefully if more changes are coming they listen to feedback on the current changes as well - After the long delays on Monday in SYD - the Bridgewater Mill Sparkling ($14.19 at DMs) on SYD-PER was requested by many - and it was horrible - and noticed most people returned the glasses almost...

Virgin Australia Business Class - Meals, Menus & Service

Had the sparkling wine today on WLG-BNE - was very average. Actually passed it back to the CSM. She advised feedback has not been so positive to it on NZ flights. No idea what it was but the chardonnay was better. The pork and shiitake deconstructed pie however was delicious. :)

    Virgin Lounge Food

I can advise that yes it is a significant consideration for at least 15 of my work team. Virgin is roughly the same price for our travel system - usually only $1-2 between them since QF came to the discount party (VA did not). But when staff started claiming drinks and food on board (and...

Multiple rooms - stay credit - GP

No, just the points. I do this all the time with colleagues so they get lounge access and I get points. But no extra stay/night allocation.

    Virgin economy 'catering'

We received quite a few complaints from our field staff who were typically being allocated VA for the Darwin routes as part of BFOD that they have been given permission to book QF if it is up to $50 more - as they were spending up big on-board VA !

    Qantas Platinum One experiences?

On the contrary - it appears you and I are very valuable P1 members - we are both domestic air warriors - So we are classified: "eats mainly packets of nuts/pretzels or defrosted cake and rarely uses the First Class Lounge therefore saves QF lots of money in champagne and food" - so our bottle...
