Good question. I would assume they would replace the shell if it's a major crack or possibly use some epoxy to fill if the cuts aren't all the way through. The only advice I have is to push for it to be repaired properly or replaced if you aren't happy with what comes back.

It appears that might be true. My stay last week was booked prior to joining the promo and it was awarded points, and no qualifying stays recorded against the offer status. It's a shame that all my stays until the end of June were booked prior to joining the promo.

I second that. Backpacks are my preference too. I've also never had the check-in staff ask to weigh my backpack... not sure whether it has to do with it being on my back and out of sight. Sorry to hijack the thread but does anyone have any suggestions on good laptop backpacks?
