    Australian state border restrictions

Qantas has only added just 1 extra service on 8/12/2020, with an early morning departure at 7:05am. I think this will be the first flight from NSW to arrive at WA. If you are looking for a media opportunity, better book this flight. The original flight, departing Sydney at 7:40pm, has no Economy...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

I think if we are to commence travel in Q3/Q4 2021 will be way too late. I would agree to vast majority of the world we might need to wait until then, but for Pacific, NZ and safe Asian countries, I think the Government should aim for a Easter opening for them.

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

I think Australia should act now and ensure we have early access to Moderna vaccine, at least it is better than the Astrazenaca one! ayushamity: Yes, some Asian countries like Vietnam may be reluctant to open their borders until vaccination programs commence in their own country, yet I believe...

    New Zealand Travel Bubble Announcement

As state borders are all reopening, I think that means one of the clouds surrounding the Trans-Tasman bubble is lifted. I hope Scott Morrison can push for a two way bubble before Christmas as Australia has almost eliminated the virus.

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

It's definitely too late to have vaccines available from March when other countries can have it in December. Yet I wonder under the current manufacturing progress in Melbourne, we should have get the first batch ready by January 2021? Yet I am concerned to take Astrazeneca vaccine as their...

State border closures illegal under the highest law in the country?

Victoria has reached 30 days with no local Coronavirus cases. Why is WA not opening the borders? I think if they refuse to defy their own rules and keep the borders closed, we should launch a legal action against WA first thing Monday to ensure borders are open as soon as possible.

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Perhaps that has something to do with expectation management? If you are too definite and say it comes in Jan/Feb and it doesn't deliver, then people will start complaining at you. Better say it will be rolled out in March, the same time as Pfizer vaccine and give everyone a welcoming surprise...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Despite I agree healthcare workers may be able to have their holiday earlier, I don't agree with the third category of people where so call those working in crucial sectors get it first. I definitely won't agree with train drivers, bus drivers, or those who work in a slaughterhouse etc those...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

On the other hand, whilst we are discussing vaccination for entry I would wonder how travel will be possible at the initial stage of vaccine availability or after vaccine is approved and not yet (or rarely) available. I would say we need to have discussions of travel bubble and ensure we will...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Well that's right. Another issue is at the initial stage of vaccine rollout where there may even not enough vaccines for people in the country, so how can we ensure citizens/PR will be able to get vaccinated if they wish to, and yet they were not able to get vaccinated in their own country...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Another thing is that there are still a lot of Australians stranded overseas and I am sure they want to come back once the borders are open. Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

I would be happy for my foreign family membersto pay fora vaccine in Australia, rather than vaccinated in HK, because there is no western vaccine ordered, and I am seriously concerned about the safety of anything medicial made in China. Yet if the government even don't provide vaccination on...
