Next week we are off to Merimbula via a route (from SA) that avoids Vic.
Getting in is not a problem, getting back out is. Unless the border opens 14 days ISO it is on our return.

Checked in for my first flight of 2020 this morning! Flying to LRE, then driving to WIN, with Mr Katie, Miss 13 and Mumma Bear Katie in tow.

I think it'll be Mumma Bear's first visit back since we moved to BNE in the late 70s. It will be a bit poignant for her, as she never got to show Step-Dad the area.

I think the only travel plans we have left for 2020 is a drive to the Leper Colony (Melbourne) in November for a medical procedure!

Merimbula via Busted Mound is a bit too far out of the way.
We cross into NSW near Remark, head down through Balranald, Wagga, Tumut, Cooma and then to Merimbula.

The old Wentworth road is starting to show signs of use, it's getting a little chopped up and rough. Hope the kidneys don't get rattled around too much!

I did an overnighter this week flying from SAN to SFO. I feel so comfortable after this trip that I am not hesitant to book something else if I can find something that interests me at the right price. What was surprising was how full the flight was and how compliant people were with masks. However that might be due to the pre boarding announcement that no mask no getting on board and if you take it off for anything other than to briefly drink or eat you will be banned for life.

In comparison to my flight home last night, I'd say there were 10-15 people tops on it. We were supposed to be flying out again tomorrow, but as we can't get into Monaco as UK has crept over 60/100,000 cases in a 14 day period which is their marker for requiring a -ve PCR test that's now been scrapped. Fortunately with BA's CV-19 policies in place we could rebook the flights to June next year where the cash price was £160 return each (we paid £59 return each). Hopefully June will be fine.......! In TripIt I've now renamed that trip to Côte d'Azur attempt #3!

We are looking at a Hawaii trip if we can sort out that pesky CV test so no need to quarantine.. Unfortunately in the greatest nation in the world they are not that easy to get.

Nothing international (obviously) on the cards for 2020, though I have critical travel in April/May next year which I cannot avoid so praying the government sorts some sort of workable solution out by then for international departures and returns.

Domestic this year am hoping all our minion premiers get their very small brains working on how they can make domestic travel work as I would love to get to Tassie, Perth and Melbourne to see family (I am in QLD and have missed births etc like many others).

We are spread all across our one country called Australia and never considered state lines would be used in this way. Hopefully resolved before Christmas for everyone.

Well we have booked an overseas flight in November.Although the plane leaves from the BNE International Terminal it is not an international flight.
Norfolk Island is our destination and we will arrive 49 years to the day after our first arrival there. We spent our honeymoon there.

Seems I inadvertently lied.

We went to Melbourne last Monday and now have another two trips booked. Both for medical reasons unfortunately.

With an ounce of luck we will also get to Canberra for early December AFF gathering and then to Melbourne again for the Christmas Dinner.

Edit ** Now stuck at home until mid next week as I had to do a Covid test prior to a medical procedure.

@Buzzard that plan should work.
Meanwhile a US credit card got hacked and a replacement went to our US apartment. Will need to get it to Perth as we are locked up over in the West.
All our travel plans are expiring.

Finally as borders reopens, we can plan some domestic trips to Queensland for Christmas 2020.
