Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

Very unlikely. Take note that Australia has a lot more return travellers from high risk countries such as Pakistan, India and the UK, which according to the latest survey on the media, we do detect COVID-19 from these travellers quite frequently. Therefore I would say that we won't be able to...

Exactly right. I think even NZ has eliminated the disease, someday it still need to reopen its borders unless they plan for indefinite closure until the whole COVID-19 thing is eliminated from the world, which is not realistic. According to the following article, it appears that the Travel...

If NZ's policy is elimination, then why Trans-Tasman Travel bubble? Why not Australian-Asia travel bubble? Remember Australia has a lot of Asians living and we desperately needing to go back to where we come from!

It appears that Malaysia has reopened the economy early, perhaps it might be earlier for my girlfriend to go back to Malaysia than me going back to Hong Kong, which makes me worried.

UK mulls over changes for Hong Kong citizens

I think charging someone with treason requires a very strict test and a lengthy trial which is a complete waste of taxpayer's money. Moreover, you need to declare that CCP is a terrorist organisation or at war with CCP in order to successfully try someone for treason, which economically...

I seriously don't understand what people are protesting for, especially this is getting the risk of COVID-19 is becoming a lot higher.   Especially this will slow down our timeline of reopening our borders, as well as reopening of restaurants, pubs, clubs etc. to 100 people and...

UK mulls over changes for Hong Kong citizens

When you introduce a blanket policy, it will be difficult to vet out people like that. I think whilst the UK Government can grant Hong Kong citizens with BNO right of abode in the UK, they should be subject to an interview which only those aligned to the political interests of the UK and the...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

I think the point is, unless we can eliminate COVID-19 from globe, there is never going to fully eliminate the virus in one country, especially when sometime later is year, we need to reopen our borders somehow as you cannot lock yourselves out forever. The thing is, how our government is being...

It it mutual benefit - whilst you have us going to New Zealand, there will be NZers coming to Australia to spend. I understand that the number may be low at the moment, however I believe that is appropriate for us to leave the country and breathe some fresh air and to Asia to taste authentic...

Exactly. I think the UK Government will lost a lot of votes this time, especially earlier when Boris Johnson was saying Herd Immunity, that's nonsense and just shows UK is not ready for a pandamic.

That's what Hong Kong people doesn't want the borders to reopen at this stage, because we worry that the government in mainland China is covering up what is important. At the initial stage of Coronavirus, there were several Hong Kong media who went to Wuhan to look at what the virus looked like...

Predictions of when international flights may resume/bans lifted

I wonder whether this is something that Australia can follow, alternatively those on quarantine are required to wear some sort of GPS tracking device to make sure they are at home, this will spare our hotel capacity to open up domestic travel demand, as well as saving taxpayers money.

As NSW has recorded no community transmission for more than 1 week now, I wonder whether the time has come for Queensland to consider opening their borders by July, so to push the country into Step 3 and open up Australia to NZ (and other countries) again.

The problem is that majority of the young people either don't have BNO passport nor they have access to a second passport. Going overseas to study and migrate remains a unlikely outcome at the moment due to tight migration rules as well as COVID-19 travel restrictions.
