Award tickets further devalued with a new peak surcharge for tickets

Soon we'll be out on tarmac pushing the bird to the take-off holding point to save on avgas. Then we'll clamber up into the cabin on a borrowed ladder (jetbridge was sold on ebay, sorry!) Quick whip-round to pay the crew and we're off! Make sure you have a few gold coins, the toilets are...

Ladies, are airports, airtravel and lounges geared toward the expectations of women?

Re: Ladies, are airports, airtravel and lounges geared toward the expectations of wom I guess the pertinent question with regard to this thread is: 'What are women's expectations whilst travelling/ lounging?'. Travel could be seen as a great leveller between the genders and I've been scratching...

Uber Ride Sharing deemed illegal by NSW

Ahhh, the good old mini-cabs... I don't know how many times I had to grab the London A-Z and navigate for the driver. I still remember a mini-cab Co. in Camden called 'Red Indian Cabs' with a picture of an Apache Indian in full headdress. Small motto underneath proclaimed 'Because we're not...

What series to acquire for inflight entertainment?

Depends on what tickles your fancy, but I'm a huge fan of 'QI' with Stephen Fry. A general knowledge game show (of sorts) with razor-sharp and lightning-quick wit all round. Plus that impeccably dry English humour. Astounds me how knowledgeable he is about .... well, ... just about everything...

Gidday Emu. From what I remember it was a light load up front on the way out and fuller on the way back- evening flight from CAN arriving about 8am BNE and was just before/ after the trade fair. (can't remember which!) In the photo quite a few of the windowshades were down, hence the gloomy...

Agree wholeheartedly! Flew CZ BNE-CAN a few years back (just after the route was launched) on a very tired bird. Certainly didn't feel like I was sitting in row 1, felt a bit like sub-par J. The FA's tried hard though, bless their nylon stockings. The best was the linen napkin...

    Ask The Pilot
