There are no private rooms, but open / partly private comfy chair "pods" in the new F lounge. Comfy but certainly not super private or dark.
Having done the 351 last week, and the 380 prior to Xmas, I can now say that while the 777 seats are tired overall and certainly not a premium seat in the...
Flew Etihad J MEL-AUH on the 777 and AUH-LHR on the 380 last weekend.
Velocity WP status recognised throughout at key points including at F Lounge in new Terminal A, and when asking for real champagne in the MEL House Lounge and receiving the a la carte menu.
As discussed in this thread, the...
Visited the new F lounge last weekend while transiting between MEL and LHR.
Outstanding lounge. May have been the time of day - 0500-0700 - but there were only about 6 of us in the space.
Shower suite much appreciated, as was the a la carte dining menu. Amusing when the attendant asked me how...
The one thing I think of is that there are reportedly over 11 million Velocity members. Not every one of them (in fact the majority) would be hoarding hundreds of thousands of points - i.e. not everyone is an AFF'er! Some of these members may be interested in such an offer, particularly as the...
Speaking of this (partner-ish) lounge. I'm seeing conflicting reports. Is The House by Aspire in Melb back to serving a la carte? Or is still only buffet?
I can't share a direct experience from exactly your case, however, yes, the Etihad rules would apply. BUT have you seen what people are getting away with in cabin baggage these days? I'm sure if you try and streamline your tech bags you'll be fine.
Etihad is good on the ground with VA benefits in my experience. Guest limits for lounges are adhered to, but ask nicely and you never know your luck. Enjoy your trip - you'll be going through the new Terminal A.
Sorry to hear this for you, but unfortunately not. J rewards are like hen's teeth at the moment. Rare. Being snapped up as quick as they go up due to people's large points balances, pent up demand, and subscription sites like seats.aero that notify people when seats become available.
Hopefully...
Update: the Singapore agent on the live chat insists that there is nothing wrong on their end and that it is confirmed and ticketed and ok to fly. Hmm...
I've just had a similar issue occur.
Reward seats booked back from UK to Australia on two separate bookings. PNR had to be split for both flights as my partner's travel plans had to change. One of the flights all seems ok, but for the second flight I have the same banner saying I’m not...
