    Economy Award Availability

Many thanks for this - I'll keep checking for updates. How can you tell the bucket hasn't been loaded as opposed to all seats being sold? That said, I agree with you as there is an identical pattern of availability QF9 & QF1.

    Economy Award Availability

Hi All, I'm trying to book an itinery to get three people from MEL to LHR around xmas next year. I may try and turn it into a 140k but at the moment I am focused on getting out of Oz. I am not finding any economy availability being released by Qantas, not even when I search for a single...

Citibank 70,000 QFF points $149 annual fee first year 0% BT for 6 months

I found trying to cancel the thing the most frustrating part of the experience - took me a good while to navigate phone banking to the point where I got an operator. Once we we were done with me rebuffing the attempts to keep me as a customer they just sort of hung up on me!

Qantas American Express Ultimate Card: 80000 Bonus Qantas Points

Regrettably my link is still showing 80k bonus for this card. Hopefully it will be upgraded to match the current offer - if so I will hopefully snare a few colleagues with it and then post it here.

Just got my first credit score

Perhaps, I did have an application last October. Its also the scale of the changes that puzzle me - over a hundred points to the good for one application dropping off? I'll just take the opportunity to apply for another card as soon as I have this latest bonus!

    Narrow seats on QF B789

I would think that the market for passengers solely focused on price is probably quite small, especially when you're looking at long haul, and for those passengers they likely wouldn't choose QF. I have a theory that the largest portion of the economy airfare market is not enabled with a high...

    Narrow seats on QF B789

Entirely anecdotal of course but...I am restricted to traveling school holidays due to my partner being a teacher. I have traveled back and forward MEL - LHR on Qantas more than times than I can count now and the aircraft has always been described as going out full. I imagine the additional...

    The Wine Spill

Some years ago travelling LHR - MEL on BA in Y I had a FA spill the contents of a glass of red wine over me during the first meal service. Her instant reaction? "Don't worry, you need white wine to get the stain out" and she promptly pored half a glass of white on me for good measure. I'm not...

Just got my first credit score

I continue to be baffled by this credit score business. When I started this game I was in mid 800s, a couple of applications resulted in a small decline. A cancellation resulted in a collapse to 575 or so - go figure. Three months with no applications gets me back to an 'okay' score of 620. So I...

    Narrow seats on QF B789

I can't see any boxes for the IFE in the shots in this thread - is their any information on their placement? For me in ULH economy it is the placement of these that dictates my comfort to a greater degree than seat width/pitch.

    Worse than feet on bulkheads

I wasn't aware the term Chav had any use in Australia. In the UK it is an extremely offensive term used to demean and demonize the working class. I will never understand why others continue to put themselves in situations where they are forced to share space with people they have such contempt...

    NAB Qantas Premium 75k bonus

Interesting: "To be eligible for the Bonus points offer, you must apply for a new NAB Qantas Rewards Premium Card by 2 January 2017, be approved, and spend $1,500 on everyday purchases within 90 days of opening your account. Everyday purchases exclude transactions NAB decides are wholly or...

    NAB Qantas Premium 75k bonus

A new offer on this card: 75k after 1.5k spend in 3 months. $250 Fee Apply by 2nd Jan 2017 Usual terms and conditions. Looks a good offer. My experience of dealing with NAB is positive. A bit too positive because I am still holding the card from the 60k offer. Qantas Premium Exclusive -...

    HSBC Platinum 60,000 $199 fee

I finally got around to applying for this card and and was approved instantly...but have to present myself at an HSBC with 100 points of ID. I presume this is because I am a pom. Since there is no HSBC branch where I live I am left with queuing up at the Post Office. For me personally this...

Citibank 70,000 QFF points $149 annual fee first year 0% BT for 6 months

I found Citi perfectly decent to deal with. I'd prefer the seamless experience of the entirely online application process experienced with other organisations, however on balance when I consider I earned getting a chunk of QFF points at around a third of the cost of most other current offers I...

ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 months

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo My letter was short and to the point, I asked them to close the account as of today and let me know what the pro-rated fee would be (I assume zero).

ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 months

Re: ANZ QFF Black 75,000 bonus with no annual fee 1st year -only $2500 spend 1st 3 mo I've rather neglectfully failed to cancel my wife's card before the annual fee came up on the October statement. I've settled the account (less the fee) and asked for account closure. Does anybody have any...

Spray for protecting against flu from other passengers

I would think that they missing a pretty significant marketing opportunity if they have compelling scientific evidence proving their product is able to cure the common cold. Unless it is the same science proving the efficacy of echinacea in the treatment of the common cold - exactly as effective...
