Thanks Trooper. In the end I booked a J award return between Mel - Dxb with a paid y return dxb - Lhr. All up 1.7k of which over 700 was the bloody award redemption fee. I was limited to 200k points and fairly inflexible on time, so reasonably happy with this result.

I'm looking at May 26th/28th - its pricing up a 4.7k on the 26th and showing no availability on the 28th. However ITA shows us availability. I'm wondering if its a mistake as its competitive with most other Y fares for the same trip.

This now looks a pretty reasonable deal to me @ 0.25 cents a point, much better than the original 0.395 cents. I'll replace my ANZ Black with this before the Amex earn is lost to 'enhancement'... The only question is will Westpac be enhancing this card inline with ANZs black offering?

I swear by using nothing, and I have never caught anything I could directly attribute to being on a flight. Even if I developed symptoms after taking a flight there is no way I could exclude the likelihood I was already carrying the virus before I boarded. Correlation does not causation make.

Hi All, Does anyone have any indication of how long it takes the bonus points from epiqure purchases to show up? I'm a little over 10k points short of an award and happily need to purchase some wine. I'd obviously prefer to get my points with bonus wine rather than just pay for the wine.

Update - both cards approved with no difficulty. Cards arrived 10 days ago, made a single transaction on each immediately - result? 40k points in each of our accounts within 7 days. Excellent result on this one for me 80k points for $200.

Thanks for the advice all. A couple of glasses of the old vino blanco removed my inhibitions and I cancelled the booking. Points were in my account within minutes. Regrettably I kept getting a database failure message that prevented me from finalising the j booking so I ended up on the phone...

For what its worth - my points are showing in my HSBC account as ready to transfer. My two month anniversary of hitting the criteria will be on the 20th. So in my case they seem to have fulfilled their obligations.
