Just confirming that we can't buy an eGiftcard on The Good Guys website to trigger the offer? Seems to be processed by 'TrueRewards' per TGG FAQ's on their eGiftcard page.

The only benefit is not having to worry if the transaction goes through/high enough credit limit etc.
But sourcing the watch definitely came down to the "relationship" we created. Had this prior to the card though. So there wasn't disappointment on my end, but there was when trying...
It is all in how you accumulate. There are different ways to do so. The big one is a sign-on bonus.
Other streams are sign-on bonuses for Visa/MC products. Commonly known as churning.
You can have two charge card products. Unlike credit cards.
E.G you could have the Green card when publicly available, plus the Platinum. Now only available as a downgrade from Platinum.
I've never had such luck when not booking direct or through FHR/THC.
Both in Aus and overseas. Completely different with Hilton Honors and Marriott Bonvoy.
Judging by my math, on a balance of 1,100,000 points via Velocity to KF, I'd lose between 30-40k KF points than doing a direct transfer.
