Depending on where you live if you would like ot try out EK F just take a quick hop over to Auckland (although there aren't as many EK A380s going over there now unfortunately).. I did it a few years ago from Syd and it was like 51,000 QF points and $100 or something one way?? I did a QF 35k...

    Is QF considering Lifetime Platinum?

Highly doubt it.... Don't make bonanza profits giving that stuff away... Especially when you see the half coughd nonsense each year when the double status credit offers come out and the shiny card brigade go nuts booking flights to nowhere... :)

New QFi PER T3 transit lounge

I think it could be a good way to gain publicity for the WA residents to tell them to go shove it... Don't think there is much love lost over Qantas and what they have done in WA over the last several years... Might be a few rusted on types that still get teary eyed at all that Still call...

Just took a redundancy and finished up on Tuesday so depending on when/if i get my next job i might have reasonable...

    Rwanda - Mountain Gorillas

Again not wanting to take away from this trip report but just if anyone is reading and tossing up where to go, in Uganda we left the place we were staying (I was part of an overland safari with about 20 others back in 2014) and we eventually met up with other people at the Bwindi Impenetrable...

    Rwanda - Mountain Gorillas

Just for an FYI, I saw them in Uganda and it was fine as well as quite a bit cheaper.. The silverback i saw wasn't perhaps the biggest one you have ever seen but that was just the family group we came upon out of several groups... Not sure how the Rwandan experience would be better? Anyway...

I am booked on a cruise with my 12 y/o in about a week and the stops include Noumea, Lifou and Port Vila... Most cruise activities as usual look over priced so was just thinking of doing some snorkelling and maybe a bit of a walk around any of the towns... But does anyone have any good...

    Am I crazy???

If its the Emirates A380, which it seems to be, then yes it should have showers... And you only live once and sounds like you have plenty of points... The evening flight back you would get a more interesting meal selection than the morning flights over which are fairly standard breakfast...

Qantas: $46 billion income, zero tax + Virgin may never pay tax + Tiger will never make a profit?

I am usually pro business but there is no way these companies are all legitimately making zero profits and I don't give a stuff how many indirect taxes they pay just like every other company has to pay them... And though Qantas might not be able to take as many dodges through a foreign...
