Public Transport to our airports - what's cheapest?

I would say, more likely that people were just free loading and not actually buying anything in DFO. Had to go from airport to south east Melbourne yesterday, and honestly, taking bus 901 to Broadmeadow, then train into city then continue down south only took 0 to 30 minutes longer than taking...

AMEX Delicious Month Out: 20% back on dining - May 2025

The actual credit / refund can take a week, it's very slow. E-mail usually arrives like 5 to 10 minutes after paying, that's how I work out if a shop is giving me the credit. If you are not getting e-mail, then you are not getting any credit / cash back. Correct, I still have this listed on...

    Paying rent with Amex

I have the same problem with one of my strata bills, which is blocked by Sniip; so I use Yak Pay instead. I do AmEx > Coles prepaid Mastercard > Yak Pay. Buy Coles Mastercard when they are on special so that they would cost you nothing, then you would only need to pay Yak Pay service fee...

Credit Card Offers Suncorp Clear Options Platinum Discussion [not offered to new customers from 9/6/25]

The only thing I could see is: "Existing Suncorp Bank Credit Cardholders are not eligible to apply for introductory offers. Introductory credit card offers are not available in conjunction with a Home Package Plus package or any other offer." Looks like you are good to go

Credit Card Offers Suncorp Clear Options Platinum Discussion [not offered to new customers from 9/6/25]

And also Suncorp sold their banking business to ANZ. To me, the impact of Suncorp Bank being sold to ANZ is a lot more serious. Suncorp is the only bank I actually like, because of their customer service level and generally competitive pricing. All the reasonably good banks are gone, leaving us...

Credit Card Offers Suncorp Clear Options Platinum Discussion [not offered to new customers from 9/6/25]

This is the final call for all Suncorp credit cards, including the Suncorp Clear Options Platinum, which I think is quite cheap: $129 annual fee $1 = 0.625 VA mile $1 = 0.5 SQ mile Sign on bonus after spending $4500 within 3 months is 100,000 Suncorp points, which equates: - VA 62500 miles -...

Significant NAB changes coming; no travel insurances on most cards from mid-2026

Then you won't have travel insurance and no car rental insurance. This is pretty black and white to me? I mean NAB has plenty of cards with no insurance, like their "NAB Low Fee Credit Card"

Significant NAB changes coming; no travel insurances on most cards from mid-2026

No it isn't. You are just over thinking it: If your card is signature level, you get insurance. If your card is not signature level, you have no insurance from mid 2026 If you look at NAB web site, all the cards losing insurance are cards below Signature level. So, you will get insurance if...

China announces visa-free travel for Australians visiting up to 30 days (previously 15 days)

Non high speed cross city. Just normal train services. For example: Haining 海宁 to Shanghai. It is intercity, but you can take normal train / non high speed to save money, since it's only 90 minutes.

China announces visa-free travel for Australians visiting up to 30 days (previously 15 days)

It is BS 99.998% of the time, for 99.9998% of the visitors who enter; but ask the 0.0001% of foreigners who got caught, like: - The two Michaels from Canada - Five AstraZeneca staffs detained by China - People who work in finance - other industries So, it is a bit of a pain to carry a passport...

Incorrect. From Australian government: You must always carry identification and show it to the police if they ask for it. Authorities will accept your passport or a Chinese residence card as forms of identity. If you don't register your place of residence or carry identification, authorities...
