Hi.
My sister in law is flying EK to Europe this week. I have an unused QC pass (part of the Silver status package) that expires at the end of the year, and I probably won't use it. Will she be allowed entry into the Qantas Club in Sydney when departing on an EK flight?

Cheers,
LP

That should not be an issue, Australian clubs are where they can be used.

Similar question... my sister in law is traveling with us to Thailand and Singapore later in the year, and the end of the trip, SWMBO and I will depart for SYD on QF, and the sis-in-law on EK to DXB & IAD. I can get SWMBO into the Qantas Singapore Lounge... but wondering what to do about the sister in law. SWMBO has a Qantas Club Complimentary Invitation which we could give her... but what are the odds on an EK non QF-status pax getting into the Qantas [operated] Singapore Lounge? My back-up is to go down to the Skyview Lounge, say our farewells and guest her in there. I also have a Priority Pass membership, so we could all stay at Skyview... but I'd insist we go back to the Qantas lounge ;)

Should not be an issueif the pass does not say Australia only.

Thanks markis10 - even if she's on an EK flight #?... I'll have to get SWMBO to find that pass and check the T&Cs

Its like being a temporary QP member, so access should be the same as a QP member.

Qantas Club Member
Next onward flight that day must be a Qantas^, Emirates^, or Jetstar Airlines+ flight number.
One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member on the same flight.

Cheers - looks promising so far for what I wanted!

If worse comes to worse I since SWMBO is flying with you on QF anyway, guest in the sister in law using your status and have SWMBO use the guest pass.

I would have done... but the sis-in-law is not on the same flight (or carrier), so if they're being tough about access, then they're likely policing that one too...

Always forget about the same flight bit for the international lounges...I blame Mondayitis.

I'm not as confident as others that your SIL will be able to use the pass. From memory, the reverse of the pass says the guest needs to be travelling on a Qantas or Jetstar flight, meaning in this situation there is no access. Please report how you go, regardless, though.

Like this? Don't recall having seen a pass with terms stating otherwise, unfortunately

Please double check the terms and conditions on each of the passes, however it should be OK in both cases. :)

I believe the passes issued recently have not been updated to include EK flights as eligible, might be worth mentioning to the appropriate area if in fact thats the intention.

I'll let the team know so they can make the necessary amendments where appropriate.

Similar question.. Can I use a QC one-time entry pass at the EK lounge at DXB (with an inward flight on emirates with a QF flight number)?

No, its not a Qantas lounge.

OK, I had thought that the intention was to give QF customers access to EK lounges and vice versa, as though they were their own, but that seems fair enough in this case.
