Flight CGK -> AUH swapped for Wamos Air

A waiver just for changing, not for refunding it seems... I recommended to a friend to fly EY MNL-AUH-LIS. AUH-LIS has now switched over to HiFly from a previously planned EY 787-10, and it'll be an absolute disaster if MNL-AUH swapped over to Wamos. Not putting out a waiver for refunds is unconscionable IMO.
The Wamos lease is finishing up for now and they are swapping to Hy Fly in a few months time on one of the daily MNL-AUH flights

The beds are fully flat on these leased aircraft and with fares around $2100 return business class, is a leased aircraft really such an issue?

Depends on if you want the whole package or are just happy with the flat bed seat.

True, but just picking a random date in August with the lowest fares available, its +$700 for Qatar and +$1000 for emirates.

It’d have to be some serious soft product enhancements for the $700 extra.

Absolutely. Personally I’d still go with QR but I’d imagine there are plenty that wouldn’t mind and just happy for the lie flat seats
 
I travelled one way on a Wamos Air aircraft when it was wet leased to PR.

This MEL-MNL one way was only in whY. Apart from one Wamos Air attendant, service was very average. The plane had a slightly rundown feel about it, although the economy seat was OK.

I would try to avoid if at all possible.

1 star Etihad Airways. Booked Business Class on Etihad's Boeing 787-9. On the day (14/6), Etihad substituted it with a Hi Fly A330-200 wet-lease, a completely different, inferior product. Zero prior notification. The Hi Fly experience was terrible. The Business Class product was a different airline entirely, not Etihad. When I raised it with Etihad customer service, I was met with scripted deflections, false claims about "minor changes," and a 2-hour runaround with no resolution. Pathetic. Don't book Etihad if you care about the aircraft you're flying. They'll sell you one product and deliver another.

Yes, I've flown Etihad business quite a few times ex MNL, and IMO they are the worst of the ME airlines (EK, EY, QR, WY).
