Article in Australian Aviation says MH are getting over 90% loads on the neo ops down under:
Malaysia Airlines says it is seeing strong demand on its Australian services, with load factors above 90 per cent, as it continues its A330neo (NEO) rollout into the country.

Speaking to Australian Aviation at a press event in Kuala Lumpur, Bryan Foong, CEO of airline business at Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), said the carrier – which currently has 10 A330-900s in its fleet – is aiming to operate 20 of the next-generation aircraft by 2028.

With the current ME3 issues if you aren't getting high loads at the moment something is wrong.

My immediate question was whether the high loadings were a feature of the last month, or more sustained earlier than that.

BITRE data is only available up to October 2025, which averaged 88% load factor for them.
Inbound/Outbound
Oct 92.5%/83.7%
Sep 86.3%/89.3%
Aug 87.1%/78.3%

AirAsia X is running at much lower capacity compared to pre pandemic so market share was certainly up for grabs locally.

Had a NEO last week KUL-DPS and enjoyed the J seating and experience overall (won’t mention the woeful menu options on the flight). No noticeable noise from the WiFi free for all.

The 1130pm MEL-KUL has been the new neo everyday for past many many months, can't even remember seeing anything but the neo on that flight. BUT o/night the ancient A300-300 was flying the route.

I'm on it mid July in J, hoping the old cough doesn't become more frequent.

Was on MH147 last week and really good flight.
Managed near on 4hrs of good sleep, very comfortable seat. Food and service was very tasty and the IFE was very crisp and easy to navigate. The WiFi worked just fine for what I needed.
Only real gripe with the seating is absolutely no storage space

I’m PER-KUL next March and currently showing new frame and fitout. Fingers crossed not swapped out
Yeah although shame the decent timed afternoon flight ex PER is a 737 Max. The 02.10am departure widebody is an effort!

The ancient A330 tonight again from Melbourne to KUL, must be a plane short somewhere, maintenance?
