Really enjoying this series of Shetland (Britbox) - I like Tosh having a greater role. Last ep drops Thursday and I still cannot work out who did the ‘Mudda’ (to quote Taggart)!

I missed this during its cinema run, so am glad to hear that it is available now on streaming.

Brendan Fraser was fantastic in the lead role. I know he earned rave reviews for The Whale (which I'm yet to see), but his performance in Rental Family was just so genuine and heartfelt - easily the best performance of his that I've seen.

Agree the conclusion was okay. I found this series a little difficult to get into. The first 3 episodes were a bit tiresome (script and acting), but I persevered.

Hope you enjoy it and that I haven’t over-hyped it for you. I think some of the narrative hit close to home for me (albeit nothing that explicitly mirrors my own life) so I just really connected with the story.

I've just come across Your Friends and Neighbours, starring Jon Hamm. I've watched episode 1 of the 1st season and like it a lot so far. A bit like Mad Men meets Thomas Crown Affair. It's on Apple. Season 2 has been announced.

A lot of people rave about the books but I could never come to terms with them

I've read all the Harry Hole books, first one set is Australia is the weakest but they get really good from 3rd or 4th one. Im waiting for a few more episodes to drop before i tackle Detective Hole - I hope Im not disappointed.
