Have to ask the obvious questions - why were you visiting Praia (Cabo Verde)? And you did you get to Dakar. Google tells me it's a beach holiday destination for Europeans (I presume based on the airlines which fly there)

I went there for a holiday and Cape Verde is indeed a popular warm weather destination for Europeans. As part of this trip I visited and spent time in The Gambia, Senegal and Cape Verde.
