Apologies if I have not posted in the right area..but would like some advice I am trying to book my daughter in the UK on a flight to Italy return so we can fly together while we are on a OWE Award trip in June/July.

If I book direct through BA.com the return flight comes in at 195.00 pounds.... ( has jumped 60 quid in the past few months) ..but if I book a classic award for her from my account LHR-MILAN one way is 60.00 pounds plus 14000 points and then a one way flight from Milan to LHR is 87 pounds its a saving of 48 pounds. The return flight is not available as a classic award at the time we want so need to go through BA.com Its not a huge saving but everything helps at the moment...do you see any issues in booking this way and having two separate bookings.

...

However you book it as long as you get your daughter onto the same flights as you then it's all good? One booking or 2 doesn't make a lot of difference in this scenario.

Being WP can we guest her into BA lounges in London and Italy too.

There is plenty of 61 pound flight to Milan both ways over that time eg out 1/7 back 5/7

just be prepared to fly into MPX and out of LIN

I guess you mean MXP? I do not know what would be scarier into or out of MPX.

I am tipping you are not on the 7.10pm return on the 2/7 which is 60 pounds? Rest are over 100

All but one on the 17th out bound is 60 pounds

No unfortunately need the 9.10am on the on the 17th June..which I think is still at 70 pounds ( with luggage) and the 1.20pm on the 2nd July. ( now 120 pounds) .....in hindsight should have booked a few weeks agoa when there were cheaper seats across all times.

Can you use your luggage allowance?

One World Benefits do not apply to British Airways 'Hand Baggage Only' fares on select short-haul routes.

Ended up booking her J both ways with BA to match our flights...119.00 pounds return and some points (50K)...dont see her often and felt bad if we turned left and she turned right...now the planning phase for Varenna and Florence

FYI everyone technically turns right on those sectors, and the Club Europe is only slightly better than their Euro Trash I mean Traveller product. I typically pay about 119GBP each way no points due to BA's generous paid upgrade offers.

Great you get to travel together though and luggage not an issue.

Good outcome for both you and your daughter. Personally I would have paid almost anything if I were in your situation and didn't get to see my daughter very often so good for you for exploring the options. :)
