It is a very very very nice terminal indeed. I say terminal because not only does the name says it is, but it really is a terminal. Check in, security, lounge, bar, cigar lounge, shower, rest areas and immigration all in one .... and just for F passengers. Then there's the Porsche Panamera or Mercedes S Class saloons that drive you from the terminal, along the tarmac and straight to your awaiting plane.

Being very fortunate to experience this in 2012 with the other half, I can back this up!

Really would love to get back there one day.

Hmmmm I can see following this thread is going to cost me $$$$. Thanks Alanslegal :)

So I went hunting on the LH web site for the First Class product, but couldn't find the seat+bed configuration. Not in the F virtual tour, not on A380 F .... not until I went to the 747-400 config did I find it (having referred back to the article in the op  ).

I guess that means this config is being phased out, together with the jet (its not on LH's 747-800s). So not on my A380 legs SIN-FRA-SIN. Pity.

I must admit I struggle with LH's attitude to their A380s. I used it last year trans Atlantic in J and was very disappointed to find that it only had an angled flat bed, and the 'new' flat beds were being retro fitted. I guess there was a good reason, but seemed crazy not to go fully flat from the start in this 'flag bearer' aircraft. The A380 F I'm sure is very good, but its not the bed+seat configuration.

the 747-400 is a relatively new configuration - about two years old. Before that was the 'old' first class (big blue chairs with white head-rests and silver trim). they still have 20 in service :)

the a380s with the angled beds are unfortunately an issue. Has always been the case.

Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I have flown in F on QF (380,744), CX (77W,744), BA (772,744) and AA (772). None of them are really worth the extra money/points over J. Particularly if J is in a 1-2-1 arrangement (like CX) as one thing that is generally good about F is not having to sit next to someone.

For interest, I would like to give EK F (A380) a go but as we all know you cannot upgrade on EK flights (QF code share) using QF points. Hopefully I will get an Op Up from J to F when I fly EK next in April.

Have you got any EK status ?

It should help with your upgrade aspirations.

Status match is available for QF WP and I'm sure P1.

Thinking about my last few years of travel, I have managed to (somehow) sample a handful of F flights. I don't know how I did it but it's possible :D

Here's my list:-

SQ 744, TG 346/744, LH 346, CX 744, and some AA domestic flights.

QF 388, TG 388, KE 388
