I don't understand? All the Apple cables have USB plugs on the "charger" end so this Anker charger will work whatever type of cable you need.

Besides, I don't understand all the complaints about 30 pin to lightning. 30 pin was in use for around 10 years. In that time, other brands went from mini USB to micro USB causing the same need to change cables.

Totally agree here !!! They are all USB Plugs does not matter what's at the other end could be King Kong robot.

I always travel with a power board that has USB outputs as well.

Have you found one that outputs more than 500mA? Last time I looked at power boards they all put out only 500mA per port which makes them either useless or very slow at charging many devices.

I recently purchased this one which claims to have dual 2.1A USB ports. I haven't used it yet but will be in a week's time. Only two ports but is enough for me.

Ah. I think I'd be happy with that one. I am concerned it may be max 2.1A across the 2 ports (ie if you plug in one iPad, it will charge it at 2.1A, but if you plug in two, you'll get 1.05A each max) because it says "With 2 USB ports for charging(Output:5V, 2100mA, total 10W)"

How do you get 1.05, where P=IV or 10=5x2.1 rounded down ??
