On my three most recent flights out of SYD on QFi (one in Y+, one in J, one in F, all flights as a AA EXP/oneworld Emerald) my baggage has come out towards the end with the Y bags -- a 20-30 minute wait, which is rather frustrating when you're one of the first off the plane! :) I've noticed that on each occasion the yellow or purple priority baggage tag has been diagonally cut off with scissors, seemingly indicating that someone along the line thought I wasn't entitled to priority baggage handling.

I'm only experiencing this on flights ex-SYD -- the priority baggage system worked fine on the corresponding return flights from HKG and LAX. Does anyone know what it means when the baggage tag has been (diagonally) cut off? I'm starting to think QF has blacklisted my baggage!

It could be some kind of a code for the ramp guys although I've no idea what.

It happened to me once on a domestic flight where we were travelling J Cns-SYD-CBR ( pre the automatic tag system). I think the bags had silver status tags on them. Bags came out last in CBR with priority tags neatly cut off - I assumed that someone officious had decided we weren't entitled to priority tagging based on the silver tags, and intended to complain but of course never did (chronically lazy and priority luggage is pretty random how it works anyway). There were 3 bags involved and all 3 had had the tags cut off!
