G'day there.

If this is an old question I apologise.

I am about to go from silver to gold several months before my anniversary date, will I get gold privileges straight away or do I have to wait until my anniversary date? Will I get my gold card before the date?

I am planning a trip to Europe and can get good prices the day after my anniversary date, and would like to fly that first day coz I can't wait to travel, but should I allow a couple of weeks so I get my gold card?

Thanks for your time.

Rob

To be pedantic, your status is usually printed on your Boarding Pass, not your tickets; there have also been examples (mine own included) where bookings made prior to the gaining of the new status do not reflect the updated status, the remedy appears to be to remove your QFF Number from the booking and to re-apply it.

New cards (tags etc) are issued in bundles, however as your anniversary date is a few months ahead, you should receive your new cards prior to your trip (including the Gold Card effective for your new year.

Congratulations!!

Regards,

BD
