It is a pity my travel is in July, :evil: one advantage of this promotion is it will allow for mixed class redemption as flights connecting through to Europe will need to be redeemed separately.

Yes indeed! They are trying to get people to burn their points, especially with the recent credit card transfer bonus. Hopefully, I'll be able to make use of this promotion.

Just logged in to my account to have a look and, of course, the discounted redemptions have not been loaded into the system and I'm still getting the normal quotes... *sigh*

Quick question: does anyone have experience with say booking a flight under this promotion, and then calling up later to change the itinerary to a date outside the window (e.g. to August 2014, assume there would be a fee involved)?

95000 points return, you need to book the sectors separately from MEL - KUL then KUL - CDG.

Quick question: does anyone have experience with say booking a flight under this promotion, and then calling up later to change the itinerary to a date outside the window (e.g. to August 2014, assume there would be a fee involved)?

I believe you book under the promotion and you can then amend the flights to outside travel period you will need to redeem on standard amount of points for the change of dates.
