I am booked in PE (W) on QF28 SCL-SYD on 21 Dec and I have an UPG request in for J.
LA807 codeshares on QF28.
EF is currently showing:
QF 28 SCL-SYD: J1 C0 D0 I0 W0 R0 T0 Y9 B9 H9 K9 M0 L0 G0 E0
LA 807 SCL-SYD: J2 D0 I0 R0 Y7 B7 H0 K0 M0 L0 V0 S0 N0 Q0 O0 X0 E0
Question: Does anyone know for UPGs whether the two airlines retain their own allocation of seats to departure or at some point prior does pooling happen? If so, do the hard carrier-ticketed pax get precedence when it comes to UPG allocations?
That's the specific question but I guess I'm also interested in the general question of how seat allocation works on codeshares to ultimately ensure the bird lifts with both pax demand and yield management load satisfied.
Calling Serfty, I think
