I see dumb people! Thank goodness (in this case) that they are Poms, as it would be very embarrassing if this was an Australian survey.

Pftttt! Shock Horror please A....mazing... I wonder if that 51% also trust women to give birth!!! Yes Precisely

Really of what importance is the gender of the pilot? As long as they meet the QF standard I'm very happy to fly with them.

No problems at all for me.
On this last trip we were on the first cruise on a Silverseas ship with a woman Captain. She did a great job and certainly performed better than several of the male Captains we have sailed with. She also happens to be qualified as a commercial helicopter pilot.

Next "they" won't trust female surgeons. Fair suck of the sav, does it really matter?

Been flying REX a lot lately they seem to have quite a few female copilots/pilots. Don`t think it matters much male or female, all have to follow the same rules, do the same training, pass the same exams.....

I have no problem being on an aircraft flown by a woman, except if that woman is my wife.

Not like our Costa-Concordia captain-Francesco-Schettino with dereliction of duty Manslaughter charges and his lovely dancer

Nope. truthfully I am more concerned about what she does in a car.
I can identify with that, I have to be either drunk or extremely relaxed and not wanting to drive before I let my wife behind the wheel with me in the car. In saying that though she has less scrapes in her car than I do.

The majority of the time I have no idea who is flying the plane and nor do I care.

Disappointing but believable - I remember when Hilary Clinton was in the running for president of the US, some well educated otherwise intelligent American guys I used to see in my travels had grave concerns, even though they usually voted for Democrats they would vote the other way if a woman was in the hot seat and their reasons were embarrassing.
