Have a short notice trip happening Sunday.

SYD - HKG (QF) 3rd
HKG - SIN (CX) 7th
SIN - SYD (QF) 11th

All in Y.

I just returned from Singapore in Y+ and qualified for QF SG on that trip.
So of course I have not received my SG card yet.

Don't think its an issue when flying with QF but for my CX flight will they be able to tell I am Gold and give lounge access? (Have added FF to the booking)

Just to be on the safe side I would get CX to remove your FF# and re-add again, generally a OW carrier pulls your status at the time of booking, so if you were Silver (Ruby) at the time of booking then CX may still see you as Ruby. By removing your FF# it should try and pull your latest status when you re-add it again.
You can probably do this yourself by using manage my booking on CX website or you may have to call up.

Also you could Online checkin 48 hours before and see what status shows on your BP.

Let us know how you go!

Be aware that if you ask CX to update your frequent flyer number they will usually want to see the physical card or something else prior to updating in their system (i use a mobile BP sometimes and its ok).

When you do online checkin you should see the status updated and lounge invitation. Be sure to get BN1 (check in online first) to maximise chances of op-up!

Congrats on your MPC GO status :)

Only booked this morning so I was SG when I booked alright.
Transferred from SIA in January to using Qantas instead and never really flew on SIA partners as I lived in Singapore.

Sorry I realised I hadnt said it was QF SG not MPC :)

How did you go? did you Online checkin today?

You will be fine. I remember last year I went to silver on a Sunday night flight to Taipai. CX post to QF on Tuesdays. On Thursday, my boarding pass ex Taipai said one world ruby. CX is probably the best airline in OW. MH on the other hand, nothing updates and you always have to Add you QFF at every checkin.

Okay so this trip has started out just fantastic...Luggage is missing with my suits in it and I have meetings tomorrow so had to cancel those now.
Guys at HKG could not even tell me if my bag was on the plane...whats the point of all these automated systems if you cannot look up whether a bag was on a plane or not??

They think someone else took the bag by mistake so are hoping they return it tomorrow.

You are in HKG, and you are canceling meetings tomorrow because your baggage with your suits has gone missing?

Surely, with travel insurance, there have to be few places in the world where it would be easier to obtain a suit in a hurry for the next day than HK. It may not be the suit you will keep for ever, but I am sure that there area many available options, and if you need it for a meeting, should have no trouble justifying the Travel Insurance "necessity" requirement.

You do have travel insurance, don't you?

Arrived at 6pm and left airport at 8pm with meetings at 8am and 10am so that wasn't going to be possible.
Plan was to sort something out this morning but just got a call from baggage handlers that they have found it and will drop to the hotel before lunch time.
