QF sale fares to India

Interesting rumour! Here is the article for those interested: Jet in direct Indian route buzz

The few things I could see happening if this were to happen (In order of likelyness):
a) 9W and QF continue happily codesharing, due to their longstanding partnership and large-ish traffic feed in both directions.
b) 9W stops codesharing with QF, by order of EY there by having no QF code into India only interlines remain.
c) QF forced to resume direct flights to India, or risk totally losing any market share they have or potentially could have had.
d) QF finally get over their differences with MH or CX and codeshare to India via KUL or HKG.

I'd personally like to see c) happen, or at the very least d).

Time will tell if these rumours are true!

You forgot e) QF introduce flights to Europe with stoppover in DEL/BOM/BLR...

But jokes aside, I agree with your four points, doubt c) will happen anytime soon, more likely that d) will occur.

The real irony is that QF don't do any codeshare with MH, yet some MH flights are code-shared with SQ!

Not sure when this happened but there is now a QF codeshare on 9W Jet Airways BOM-HKG QF3952 - A330 & 777.
So from what I can see now, 2x daily codeshares SIN-BOM-SIN, 1x daily SIN-DEL-SIN & 1x daily HKG-BOM

I'd like to see a codeshare HKG-BLR and return on KA 152/153 (Dragonair)

Me too, but more than that i'd like to see codeshares with CX or MH to India, although 9W is a great airline, not having status recognition and benefits/lounge access is the big deal breaker for me, either that or QF needs to workout a deal with 9W to publish the status to them much like they do with Emirates.

So if travelling MH out of BLR, in theory I can access the Dragonair affiliate lounge?

Not quite, 3rd party lounges are generally only accessible if you're flying the airline that has the lounge agreement with the 3rd party lounge of course there are probably exceptions to this. These are different to Ow airline operated lounges where OW rules apply.

My experience in KTM recently was that I was not expecting to get access to any lounge there but upon checking in with DragonAir for my flight to HKG I was given a pass to the 3rd party lounge on the basis of my OW/QF WP status.

Yes that's because Dragonair have a 3rd party lounge agreement in KTM, however MH do not by the looks of it so if you were flying MH from KTM you would not get access to 3rd party contracted lounge of Dragonair regardless of your OW status.
Lounge access - oneworld

I have had no trouble accessing the lounge in BLR on MH as both a OWS and OWE member... make sure you collect an invite/pass at MH check-in if they don't give you one by default. Oh, and don't be expecting much in the 'Executive Lounge' at BLR. It's a horrible, humid place where far too many synthetic leather chairs have gone to die. The last two times I was in there they had also run out of the lovely warm cans of Kingfisher Premium, and choice was limited to Indian wine and Black Dog whiskey... Given nothing costs a lot, I generally prefer to sit up at the Kingfisher Sports Bar next to the lounge and have a simple bite to eat and some better, colder beer :)

Cheers!
