Accessing AFF with Mobile Device

Oh wow, thanks for the detailed post, but my app doesn't look like that. I bet it's because I'm a freeloader and it won't let me log in. *goes off to become a paid up member*

I had to log out to see what you mean.

It doesn't seem like it should be a premium feature but I guess the app is set up in such a way that they can't give access to the settings without being logged in, and being logged in requires a paid membership etc...

Sorry to hear it's not the outcome you wanted.

Bah. I hadn't paid up because I'm not a real frequent flyer, but find info here useful to improve my lot when I do fly. Hubby is though and my use of Expert Flyer alerts saved him from some horror seating in recent times. So it's all good, I signed up, and can now see properly, thanks.

I believe there's some sort of expert flyer discount with membership too, could be useful come renewal. I don't use it so not really sure but thought I read something? :)

Perhaps it would be useful to get a mobile app at some stage?

I don't know who you're asking this question to? AFF does have a mobile app available on both Android and iOS, just search for "Australian Frequent Flyer" and you'll find it...

Do people find using the full website on mobile device slow?

I posted on the Off-topic thread today and tried to edit the post but was unable to process the request on more than one occassion.

You would expect somewhat that the full site loads slower than the mobile site, due to the additional components and rendering of the full site. How much slower, mind, is another thing.

Loading the website is fine.

Clicking on 'New posts' is fine.

Posting on the Off-topic thread was fine. Moving between pages on the Off-topic thread was fine.

Click on 'edit post' and the editor appears and after making the change click on 'Save' and nothing. So repeated the previous steps again and tried again and the same thing happened. No matter what I tried I could not edit this post. No error message either.

This has happened to me before using the same feature.

I've found replying to posts / new posts / editing posts a bit laggy sometimes. Happens on FT also.

When's really well on Android. :-) (though again I need new glasses! )
