Has anyone been to the DOMESTIC MH lounge in KUL?
Is it any good or should I prepare to be underwhelmed?

Flying KUL-LGK rtn in Business as a OWE.

Have been to the International lounge in KUL and was quite impressed just not the DOM lounge as yet.

The lounge is clean, has a few nibbles and is out of the way of the masses.

Think of a small Qantas club in the 90s.

More than a few nibbles, quite pleasant!

It that the one in the "Main" terminal- I have a flight to SIN next month departing "MAIN".

Other than that could one access either?

No, the domestic lounge is underneath the international area and obviously separated, the "regional" lounge would be your lounge although the satellite is a short train ride away and much better.

If you're referring to International then yes you can access either, however the one in the satellite terminal is the best and incorporates First/Platinum lounge. Then its only a short airtrain ride to Main terminal from Satellite. I had a flight few months ago from KUL-SIN in the main terminal (not satellite) and from satellite lounge to boarding the aircraft in main was about 5-6 mins max. enjoy!

A simple question - great answers - thanks.:D

I had done quite a lot of searching and while there was a lot of reference to the three KUL lounges, I was unable to find this specific information clearly expressed.

Agreed, surprisingly the MH website has very little useful information regarding their lounges, the Oneworld site has far better info on MH's lounges than their own website!

Lounge access - oneworld

I am yet to try the Cathay Pacific First and Business Class Lounge in the Satellite terminal, not sure how good that one is.

It took me a while to find the domestic lounge when I was there. For your reference it is outside gate A2, which is on the opposite side of the B gates which is where I first found myself in. I found the lounge quite good food wise with options at brunch time consisting of pastries, rice, a nice chicken dish, noodle soup, cakes and little salad type bits and pieces.

I tried entering the Satellite lounge using a domestic J ticket (arrival) but was declined

The international lounge in the main terminal is not very well advertised. Its up the escalator just to the left of the train that departs to the satellite terminal. The small sign at the base of the escalator is not easy to see when approaching from the gates on the "left wing" side. It is quite an adequate lounge.

That is a very nice lounge. Heaps of food and natural light.

The regional Golden lounge is OK and usually has 2-3 hot food options, salads and a variety of drinks available.

If you have some time available then it could be worth it to take the train over to the Sattelite terminal and visit the Platinum/Business Golden Lounge and it is a little bigger.

It is OK and similar to the regional MH Golden lounge. The food options can be different to the ones available in the MH lounges which suited me better.
