Q: points earn on bookings with paid and rewards nights

Question regarding points earn when a stay contains both a paid and reward night. Do you get points for the paid part?

Im reading the terms and conditions and it says that if any night is consumed using points, the entire stay is inelligible. Is this the case?

I'm not sure what you're supposed to earn. But I used a points + pay option at the Hilton Brisbane recently. Paid $95 on top of 24,000 points per night for two nights. I have been posted 24 base points, plus a 6 point bonus for Gold status, plus 48 bonus points as part of the Q3 triple your points offer.

My double dip option is points + miles, but I got nothing in terms of miles.

AFAIK, you can get points on incidentals, but definitely not miles (always better to have P+P for such stays).

Maybe the 24 base was for the CC fee?

No points on the pay part, by the rules and by my experiences.
24 base points is a $2.4 spend so does sound like the CC surcharge. You may get lucky, however, but their system seems to only ever give you fewer points rather than more.

Yep, I paid with a CC; so the 24 points looks about right for that.

My experience now echoes Cynicor's. Just the 1k My Way points. That's it.,
