Butter matters [Danish Lurpak on board]

In the QP I'm pretty sure it's Meadow Lea. In the domestic and international J lounges, I'm unsure.
As reported earlier today, QF international J lounge in BNE was Western Star, as was the Y flight departing BNE.
Unfortunately I am not in a position to comment on the BNE FLounge nor what was served to passengers forward of row 43. I will be able to make that report in 2 week time.

Now to check what is offered by another OnneWorld airlinne.

I can't remember what butter is served in QF Y. I know in QF domestic J, it is Lurpak.

International J again I'm unsure, as it's unwrapped and "plated" when it comes to the table. And of course, it's even harder to guess the butter for ex-Australia flights vs. to-Australia flights.

BNE J lounge is Western Star....as digested yesterday.

CX had Lurpak on board yesterday.
Not sure of Pier lounge, only showered and left for gate.

Well going beyond OW, SQ had "Liv" (Australian) butter on board in Y yesterday. Something I can't ever recall seeing on supermarket shelves.

I'll check when I'm back home on Friday, but farm pride is also a brand in SG owned by SATS ( supplier of chicken nuggets) so I am not sure which Farmpride is the supplier of LIV, especially given that SQ catering at Changi is done by SATS.

Could well be a different company, no doubt a Singaporean sold product made from Australian content.

So of course I've just purchased some Lurpak to see what the fuss is about. It is just a few cents dearer than Paris Creek biodynamic butter. I'm so gullible. Lucky this isn't a tech or fashion forum. :p

QF's FinnAir operated codeshare (I was booked on AY flight number because it half the price and credits 100% miles to AAdvantage) served Liv (Australian) butter and "dairy creamer" in Y between Asia and Europe. Somehow I doubt their use of Aussie butter has in any way been influenced by the QF codeshare flight number on the operating flight.

Why would you listen to the opinion of 2-3 people on this thread raving on about something?

There is a reason there are 47 variations of butter at the supermarket.

At least now you have your own opinion.

You could always get a third opinion, [email protected]

Disclosure
1. I made up the email address.
2. I bought Lurpak today to form my own opinion, the fact it was 20% off at Woolies was a factor.

We like HarmoniE organic spreadable (product of Denmark).......probably never see it on QF though.

When Woolworths Everyday Awards offers 100 bonus Qantas points for every Lurpak purchase - then we will know the true depth of this conspiracy.

I usually only eat the bread roll when it comes with Lurpak, if there is some other random brand of butter that comes with your meal I usually skip the bread

Which is also a product of Arla Foods, the makers of Lurpak ;)

My dad always insisted on buying Lurpak butter when we were growing up. This was highly unusual as he's not renowned for spending any money on anything (typical Scotsman) :D
