Excellent, I've had a feedback panel email asking me to comment on the lounge service prior to QF 82 :p

Full and frank feedback coming up, especially as regards to comparative bubbles quality.

I was delayed because I alarmed the explosives detector. Must be all the booze I drank.

It's almost worth its own thread but little more detail on this:

I was engaged in stuffing my computer back into the bag when the sniffer guy came over and ran the test on me and my bag. When he put the sample in the machine, it came up positive. ( ALARM showed on the screen.) He then had to test himself and then me again. The alarm showed for me again.

I was then given the option of a private room but elected to move over to another table near the analysis equipment in the hope that PrincessK would see that I was delayed (at this stage I wasn't sure I would make QF8 let alone the F lounge). They looked at everything in my bag and the security supervisor came over and asked for my bag tags. I was confused at first but then realised that he meant checked bag tags. He seemed surprised that I had carry-on only and I couldn't help thinking that this may have made me look even more like a suspicious character.

They had what looked to me to be a fairly involved form to fill out which involve looking at my passport and asking me for my home address. The staff were courteous and professional throughout and I was on my way after about 15-20 minutes.

Our daughter commented "you are probably a person of interest now, Dad" when I told her about it later. I will always wonder what set it off

Anyway thanks to all the new friends I met over the weekend who helped make it so enjoyable.

Similar thing happened to me in BNE a week ago, but I passed the subsequent 4 following tests after the first fail.

CBP: What do you mean when you say you're on a JASA status run with HLO?

Or What do you mean when you say you're on a JASA status run with HLO after doing a mattress run!

Related: I did a run MEL - DRW - MEL the other day with no luggage at all. Am I considered HLO?

Looks like the next one has to be HKG. Apparently there are 9 lounges in Honkas.

sounds good to me, I already have flights ;)

Let me count, I think I have been to Wing J & F, Pier J & F, The Cabin, QF J & F and the Dragon Air G16 lounge. Don't forget the arrivals lounge under the train station. Just the EK lounge I have missed?

Edit: would have also been to the Plaza Premium lounge used by AY/MH/S7/RJ. Clearly its awesomeness has prevented me from remembering it
