Qantas to upgrade business class sleep experience

As I understand it it's basically the EK bit of padding but with a doona.

It isn't complicated at all.....
 
The 747 has two J galleys (one on each deck) so the crew don't have to walk up or down the stairs. 2 crew work upstairs and 4 downstairs.

When your not using it you would put it away like you do the blanket most probably in the stowage under the Skybed which cannot have bags anyway so should be empty. If your on the A380 or 747 upstairs you could also put it in the side stowage.
 
Sorry to dig up a slightly old thread, but since I didn't know anything about this, I was rather pleased to see a mattress had been placed over my seat (QF98 - MK1 skybed) by the time I got back from the toilet having jumped up the very second the seatbelt sign had been switched off. I think it definitely improved the comfort of the MK1 skybed. Admittedly, I had only flown international J twice before on pre-refitted 744s.
